3 of the teams are completely assured of TI6 invites. 2 are highly likely and 3 have a chance to secure one here. Every game is going to matter. That should increase the hype a bit.
On June 14 2016 22:29 LemOn wrote: Data from Star Trek again? Seriously, why does Nahaz keep getting invites and so much space
Because he's really smart and really hyped at the same time. You rarely see anyone get giddy at seeing an Earthshaker Mid in a pro game. Also, ESL has plans to do some longer segments with him between matches, per some discussions on twitter, which is where Nahaz is much better.
objectively speaking, nahaz is steadily improving, especially with respecting other people and moving conversation along. he does work for the events aside from analysis and appears in meta discussions outside of events, both with other up-and-coming talent and with players themselves in order to get more information/opinions.
that's just called hard work.
more surprising, eri neeman is showing up. the filipino personality/host for esl manila who shouts OHH NOOO OHH YESSSS... and ofc, maelk will be present for the macho-man look contest.
Though it's likely to end during semi-final because they'll likely have to face Liquid again. Hope OG somehow is too busy spending their dollars that they go full clown mode during the Group stage and we snatch 1st to have a more straightforward run to the Grand Finals.
Just before a big project starts at work I get to sit back and enjoy some Dota , Beer , Steaks , Euro in between , life can't be better !! oh they can if Alliance 2-0 Fnatic and Liquid :D Just hoping the wife won't go berserk seeing how much fun I am having during the weekend , she doesn't like me having too much fun without her seems to think she is a must otherwise how can i possibly enjoy anything ?!
and now Disruptor... they're going with the same shit as the finals and i think Vega were expeting exacly that and they are well prepared to deal with it.
On June 17 2016 17:42 hunter_x wrote: i hope its only today. if they dont have fata for the main event, they are in trouble.
Are they making the main event with Heen?
i think they will. heen knows the team very well, i think he can stand in without problems. they should be able to beat vega anyway, standin or not. against fnat or alliance, im not sure. we will see i guess.

[A] needs a super master great play to win with this line up only 1 lock down, and illusion + spiderling is fast food for Fnatic lineup we gonna see timersaw jumping around from tree to tree ala spiderman
but ofcourse [A] gonna chicken out the whole game and tries to split
ok as i imagined Kuro safelane and Matumba mid... but why on Slardar? the only ones that seems to make him work as safelane were MVP, Alliance tried it but with not so much success
i think that without Fata they should have done the same as LGD, this is a waste of time for Liquid and it can influence the team morale because there is no way that with a standin and a change of roles they could remain competitive
On June 17 2016 19:25 Kipsate wrote: OG/Liquid pretty much guarenteed invite, hiding strats not actually a dumb thing now
what happened to Fata?
Sick again. But i think this will be the last lan we see Liquid at until TI6 Oh wait they are invited to BTS5 i think that is there last one unless they are going to StarLadder too.
They shouldn't be they are the biggest 2 man team in history of dota 2 xD Ok thats harsh on 343 he doesn't do much wrong, but Ohaiyo and Mushi are just awful.
Ok and Fnatic are due to get a straight TI6 invite and Alliance are looking like they are not, oh that needs to change. Fnatic are awful man T_T Mineski are more fun to watch than this.
That last fight positioning from mushi was soo good.. he was hiding into trees besides chokepoint and hitting s4 all the time .. they tried to find him soo hard.. midone played that so well tho

We are back to judging teams after 1 game / series, right? If only alliance could show what they had at major and not esl Frankfurt , they could have also deserved ti6 invite. Mineski are busy losing to teams like wg.unity from Malaysia . So there's that

We stopped judging team on one series? What about EG and secret? They played only one game, which also happened to be the whole series, in the main event from Manila, so they're not trash?

Lmao.. besides from ohaiyo , I don't think anyone is playing questionable in these 2 games..just because dj and midone are shining doesn't mean others are bad.

No, they played multiple series over multiple tournaments and that is how we judged them. And honestly Secret was worse then EG. They lost over half a dozen series in various tournaments. At least EG took series even if final placement wasn't good enough for them.

I don't know what you are trying to say but eg and secret played group stages and one game before getting out of Manila major .. what are u trying to say ?

Fnatic vs Alliance was close series until the dumb found drafting skills of s4 kicked in. Fnatic have not looked good at all and the series vs LGD was the worst series at the major, it was awful from Xiao8 and Mushi. Then Newbee and Liquid really embarrassed them. Fnatic continuing where they left off here too, since Mushi rejoined that have been poor again, who would have guessed
Liquid playing pretty potato, was so hyped to watch them bounce back from the major finals and now Fata's sick and they just lose all their lanes dodge fights and farm until they inevitably get caught out and lose.
Yeah should have bailed this comp from Liquid after fata was sick, not Liquid's fault there player is sick and genuine excuse. Then they could rest abit and go again next month at BTS5.

Sad for Liquid because Fata and KKY are local boyz and its fun to play infront of the home crowd , but otherwise having Navi OG and Alliance(hopefuly) as 3/4 is great for them , those teams are popular as hell
What an awful end to that series. Oh well least we shouldn't see that one again xD Alliance vs Vega later this evening, Kuro carry gets to eliminate Fnatic tomorrow.

One of the games should start really on time... cuz the room is being free, teams should setup and wait for the "Q" to start the draft if they want to wait for both series to end..... GIF GAMES

it's not miduan but its mushi take the call
Mushi doesn't make calls here.. dj and ohaiyo are the ones who make the calls
Omg. Nothing seems to work this tournament. I hope esl doesn't take this as a sign to stop their tournaments in Frankfurt cause that's the only thing I can afford since it's my home town

coL just doesn't know how to run BB like Liquid and MVP. Forev doesn't force kills diving so deep into the tower. He just farms well on the off lane, forcing rotations then rely on Febby and/or Dubu to rotate so that he can turn fights under his terms. wisp stacking while controlling the bottom ruin gives Forev the comeback mechanic and/or snowball farm. coL chases and gets smacked in the face as a BB, it just doesn't make any sense.
i still can't understand why put him on Alche, Miracle was so fucking unstoppable at Frankfurt Major and the hero didn't change much... Ok Miracle is a monster on every hero probably (and with a TB on his hands i think he will wipe the floor with Navi) but i think there are more suitable heros for Notail than Alchemist.
Right-click build from QOP though, that's gotta be interesting. Is that mostly because the Bloodthorn lets her do lots of damage, to justify lifesteal/AC?
On June 18 2016 00:09 IntoTheheart wrote: Oh wow a first-pick Lifestealer, after his BAT got changed to 1.85. I wonder what sort of plan they have for him.
Idk how lifestealer is first pick in all these games after that nerf and people are having hard time dealing with him early to mid game..
A are great at pushing and sieging but once the game tiips into vegas favor (which can happen but not necessarily) alliance will have a much harder time actually defending their hg. so for lategame i would say vega has the upper hand

S4's probably gonna be broke as hell anyway, so... :/
Games like this is why there should be about a 3 second spawn delay when buying back. Some games just get retarded where neither team really can push beacause insta buyback win defenders any fight.

Yha TB is going to be a beast 2nd phase pick , dont think he is tier 1 yet , but he does alot of things really , farm /team fight / PUSH , one thing he doesnt have is initation but its a small price to pay for such a beast , i think he falls flat on his face if he is facing a tri lane or some sort , but when teams play greedy and send a solo slardar to 1v2 its easy for the hero to get through the hardest part of his game , early game.
I mean sure vega can deal with brood in lane but the way Bulldog play him is to get really farmed and be a beast lategame. They're probably not going to stop that.

it's not really that new, except didn't use to have brew
I honestly don't understand Alliance's drafting or play that game. They picked Brood+Gyro into an Axe+DP, this makes no sense. I honestly have no idea why they drafted Gyro instead of Lifestealer. It was a good hero for what they wanted to do (fight early around Brewmaster) and does decently well against DP. This is the second game against Vega I think they were out-drafted.

I think in this series, he's had a bit of an issue where he couldn't get a lot of gold. In its own weird sort of way, I don't know if Puck was a bad pickup since he'll function alright without gold - unlike DK.
LOL. Alliance is so fucked. Where is their damage when Alch goes HG against them with 5 slots and an aegis at the 25 min mark? A dusa with linkens and he will be lucky if loda has a manta by then.
Team No damage vs an Alch with no AA. Fucking GG in 25 mins.
It's not like Dusa is particularly concerned about being pulled into a fight when she gets farmed, and with BB there Vega have a free breaking of the sphere every time anyways. It's not like Weaver where you need to get him in the jump to have a chance, they can just send BB in, pop the Linken's and then disable dusa.
Especially with Alliance's line-up where they can all assist the Dusa regardless of where she is.

It's fine in the sense that they don't need to lock down the Medusa because she does no damage. But I think it'd be a mistake if the game was close at all.
The flipside to not being able to pop linken's is the pretty cool mix of acid spray + wave of terror + goo.
