Pretty much all Morphling build little physical dps items due to stacking stats. Often ending up with no right clicking item stronger than e-blade. Two six slotted heroes and morph often loses due to too little dmg, even if he has great armour and attack speed from the agi.

It's an irrelevant question whether VP has the better lategame heroes. EG's lineup can run circles around VP and outfarm them with ease, VP can't kill any relevant heroes easily, and they can't really brute force through towers either against Puck spam.

I'd say the Gyro is stronger in a hypothetical game in which both teams are equally farmed, both gyro and morph equally 6 slotted etc. Simply because the flac from Gyro is more of an issue if both are equally unkillable with satanic running and so on.
Sure shotgun can oneshot supports with butterfly+e-blade and lots of single damage but I'd give it to Gyro with the AoE dmg vs supports.
