To be honest, i have seen other team outplay EG like that in Bo5 already.

So, i think EG wins still.

ye VP was up 2-0 last time and still lost 3-2

That was different tho, it was on the west coast and VP had already played the loser bracket finals. This time EG is away from home (jetlag) and they don't have the advantage of being completely fresh
Why are my allies so weak and pathetic?

To be fair, MVP's draft was going to outscale EG's eventually, so the later game felt inevitable, but it's them taking so many fights earlier on when EG was supposed to be taking towers, that really threw EG off. Going in too deep a few times didn't matter all that much.

its a greedy draft but they executed that perfectly

Except it's not a "late game" strategy at all. It's a very effective strategy early game because you have a lot of heal and early on there's no getting through it.

People keep talking about teams understanding and preparing for what they're doing but they've been running this tank + heal strategy for months and won every single game from what I remember.

In fact, it's not even a new strategy. This strategy was run by a lot of Western teams back in 2015 and they destroyed with it too.

yeah mvp played mek bristle + io many times , i wonder why ppd let that pick off his pocket

Because he had maybe 25 minutes to plan for the series. While MVP had several hours to plan for an expected EG victory.

You are absolutely kidding yourself if you don't think PPD planned this series last night or earlier this day.

Isn't that how we judge all dota teams?

Only NA ones. Because its their life expectancy.

His NP is fine, and has actually gotten a lot better. But it moves him away from being the guy that makes the 6 Million Dollar Echo Slam. He's Universe and not Bulldog. It's kind of as simple as that.

MVP is just going for their comfort zone, I don't see anything done to adapt to EG.

His NP is not working versus the MVP style.

These players literally went from getting dumpstered by Zephyr to winning international championships in something like two years.

Give it time.

Or they could be like alliance and be good for about two months out of the last two years. Or they could get trashed like secret at TI5 as soon as they get figured out. Even if Phoenix wins this, I'd caution against this... obsession Liquid sites have with Korea.

You should not take LR thread comments that seriously.
