eh. Fnatic such a disappointment with prolonging a dead-lost game.
I think their strategy is to dumpster bad Western teams (c) uriel

And Earth Spirit kept Fnatic in the game. It played the Oracle role: keeps you in the game long enough to think you can turn it around.

Missed almost every match due to timezones but generally looks like China gets slaughtered so far. To those who have seen most of group stage so far, whats the general opinion? Bad plays, teams behind meta or what seems to be the problem?

just the spirit of azarkon

Ok, though I am not intended to troll or start a shitstorm, just want the general opininon. Well to put it in slightly more accurate words, were the games with chinese teams good enough to watch the replays?

If you want to facepalm at every stupid decision they made, then yes it's good.
Or if you want to see how sea win against china, then yes.

Cool mate, thank you very much.

I thought Chinese Dota would show up at this event but so far it has been nothing but disasters when I watch any Chinese team play. The lower bracket is just going to be a bunch of Chinese teams brawling it out at this point.

Comeback gold mattered so much in both games, I still don't like seeing this mechanic being so important.

Watch as Bulldog wins the MVP vote regardless. Akke was the real MVP of that game and his idiot cores tried their best to throw it.

We got Alliance winning, Fnatic back in form. Great game one, a few other okey games and interesting drafts here and there and a level-one Rosh. And lots of drama. All in all, a wonderful day of dota I'd say.

in my opinion, quite a few mistakes or in other words, a lack of respect for the sven output.
weaver hitting ranged rax top, is much better than poking and seeing what he can get away with on the melee.

in my opinion at the top t2 fight, loda seals the deal for himself when he blinks off to the right by himself and expends gust on bkb heroes. it seemed they were all learning to better play the way they wanted to as the game went on.
aside from that, i think they played really well, especially s4 wrecking the early engagements and closing off the map for the rest of the game.

? chinese new year is done.
unless you mean it impeded on practice, which it really shouldn't.
it's literally one weekend that not everybody observes.

lets not forget the fact it's NOT chinese new year but rather lunar new year which both Malay and Korea also celebrate.

it's literally one weekend that not everybody observes.

all teams have typically taken week break off at this time of year, and chinese competitions would not have had events for almost a month.

of course theres personal motivation to practice, but judging from interviews chinese players have given, they did not practice on their time off.

the difference is that most of the players went home to spend time with family
