Why is this a bad thing. MLG: we want to swap your bad opponent (NoT) with one of the top teams (NiP) on short notice 1 day ahead of time. SL: we want to swap your average opponent (Alliance) with another average opponent (Navi) Those are definitely different levels of risk. If I had to guess, PPD is probably even more confident against Navi than Alliance. Understandable self interest. | ||

And yes, they could rearrange the schedule, just put NIP be EG in the first game and everything would be fine. About Charlie response: it's the same situation. Both teams fucked up in the same way: both would have problems of their flight had problems. You seem to be salty about this for reasons that don't make a lot of sense. I still can't find where Charlie didn't attempt to accommodate NoT at MLG nor that the DefWin wasn't MLG's own choice. From some comments I found ( Comment #5 ), NoT almost forfeit against NiP as well at the tournament. So that was wholly MLG's call. Don't go blaming someone that they had nothing to do with. As for the situation at Starladder, they're not the same. NoT was flying in the day of the tournament. (MLG ended up paying for a full day of Hotel stay that they didn't use, apparently.) Alliance was flying in mid-day the day before. Starladder is just the ones that over-reacted to replace the team before it was even certain whether they would be late. Further, Starladder's schedule is much looser and there is time for the other teams to able to adjust, since they were informed and willing to accommodate. | ||
