They just have to gain an mid game advantage. But instead they went 1-11 and their Invoker literally did nothing the whole game because he went Exort instead of Quas Wex. | ||

Uh, why would you pick Sven and Slardar to push base during the middle game? The draft was a late game draft, but it had Chen for early pushes so as to gain map control, which is what face rush strategies are all about - ganking the opponent into the ground, and then slow rolling the late game. Late game Slardar + Sven does in fact do well against Terrorblade and the Silencer and Invoker theoretically allows them to control the rest of the team, which were all spell casting heroes. But you can't play a face rush strategy when you get behind in the early game. So the argument could be that Goblak forgot how ridiculous a well played Earth Spirit is and that's why his picks were less than ideal. I'd accept that argument because I didn't know MMY's Earth Spirit was that impressive as well. | ||
