This will be a quick 2-0. Col is outmatched at every lane. EG will break them.

I can try to help out Monday/Tuesday, I usually follow the threads at work so I'll post polls when I can. I'll be joining you in Seattle from Wednesday on though :D

Fkn CDEC tt One job, win against EHOME and secure top spot to keep EG and Secret away from each other until the UB Finals. Joke! They draw and let EG finish top and now we have Secret vs EG earlier xD
Oh well, can't wait for the Main Event to start now!

Vici or navi. Sigh I want both teams to do better :\ worst TI from a fanboy perspective argh

ViCi lower bracket miracle run! VG is bad at drafting but Na'Vi is bad at both drafting and execution.
|
LGD bracket looking beautiful, top 3 almost a certainty imo.

That lower bracket... CN vs KR is real

last time LGD were 100% sure a win vs Empire the things did not went as planned.

Can anyone tell me why VP picked Fnatic over NaVi?
I would root for Phoenix, but it's Bo1. Newbee can take it( Anyway, here are the predictions:
First Round: Upper Bracket: LGD > Empire 2-1 (sylar >>> silent), Secret > EHOME 2-1, EG > CoL 2-0 (terrorism please!), CDEC > C9 2-1 (last time I checked C9 can't fight gyro, bh and ember at all). Lower Bracket: VG > NaVi (no Lesh/ES combo for NaVi = free-win), iG > Hot6 (I see Burning cancer lancer already), Fnatic > VP (just pick WK and everything would be ok), Phoenix > Newbee (nvm my fanboy speaking).
Second Round: Upper Bracket: LGD > CDEC 2-1 (Maybe won't lose to his prev team), EG > Secret 2-1 (suprise suprise) Lower Bracket: C9 > VG 2-0 (miracles don't happen), iG > EHOME 2-1 (burning please 4th place is waiting for ya), Phoenix > Empire 2-1 (KOREAN DREAM GO), Fnatic > coL 2-1.
Third Round: C9 > Phoenix 2-0 and Azarkon writes a poem about it, iG > Fnatic 2-1 (SWEET FUCKING REVENGE)
3 Western teams and 3 Chinese teams in top6. I think it's fair.

I'd say Its LGD in the upper bracket finals with EG or Secret, EG or Secret winning that and going to the grand finals. Whomever drops to lower bracket gets to the grand finals. EG vs Secret HYPE

VP has gone pretty much 50-50 against NaVi with these lineups. For example they played each other twice on LAN at Dreamleague, NaVi won first 2-1 and then VP won 3-2. It's also pretty safe to assume that VP has scrimmed against NaVi quite a bit before this tournament. I suppose they just don't feel confident against NaVi due to these experiences, and prefer to play Fnatic who they've only faced in 2 games (1-1).

if ig loses to koreans again they should just disband and really retire.
chuan can fuck off back to malaysia and then form another sea powerhouse.
|
I feel CDEC is the best upper bracket opponent C9 could've hoped for for the first round. They are playing a team they don't scrim much with (I assume they have while in china or this time during bootcamps) and don't have a mental bug up their ass like they do vs EG and Secret where they overthink them selves, draft support tinker. and lose.

Cause Korea is bad ? IG is not a strong team, and I hope both MVP teams move through to the BO3.
I hate BO1's though in a world championship tourney... I don't know why valve would extend the tourney but still have 1st round BO1.... That 1 game is worth over 150k.....

I don't see any other reason than col scrimming against EG to explain the level they shown. Scrim partners can be tough opponents, even if it goes both ways.
