A big part of why mek on SF became a thing is it helps him be less vulnerable in early ganks / fights which is where SFs traditionally stumble. He's one of the, if not the easiest mid hero to gank and mek gives a lot of early survivability.

Yeah actually I completelyforgot about Alliance, I wasn't paying as much attention to Dota then. They definitely don't count. Seriously though I wish Valve would do a few tournaments a year instead of just TI.

There already are a shitton of tournaments. This year also has a huge 2million+ tournament. You can't have these kinds of tournaments 4-5 times a year.
If you feel 2m isn't enough motivation and TI is still everything, something is wrong with you, not the system

These tournaments take like 2 months with qualifiers. That basically fills up the whole year.

Sure, but I don't see how more Valve tournaments would help with that. Except maybe killing a few of them because people would only care about Valve's circuit.

I would be amenable to valve being a bit more forceful in spacing tournaments. They don't need to host anything (I'm more inclined in slightly altering the payout structure of TI) but they should probably give some stronger input to teams/organizers
