I don't know about you guys, but if I did half of what LGD pulled out in that series, and hear a whole crowd boo my success, that'd tilt me. Not that I've ever been in that position, but it definitely has a huge effect.

That's not extended series, that's double elimination. It's a completely different thing. Did you know that MLG Extended series finals actually have TOO LITTLE advantage for the format? It's not obvious bias at least by me, I've been calling this format awful ever since I learned of it.

I would even place Ars-art above XBOCT if I had to simply based on his long gaming history. Completely agree. In fact XBOCT made several mistakes during the last game (coupled with a few big plays). But it really shows how strong players the rest are to be able to counterweigh that!

The winner to the bracket should have a 1-0 advantage :s Remember if LDG wins this 2-1 they will have played a Bo3 vs Na'vi and a Bo3 vs iG. And then after they will have to go up vs Na'vi in a Bo5. Do you know how exhausting that is, while navi have time to study / rest during this Bo3. That is advantage enough imo, without giving away free wins.

This is completely different than extended series. Not having an advantage coming from winners bracket makes no sense at all, look at any other tournament in any other game and you would see that the team from winner bracket would only have to win 1 match/ BoX Nothing about bias just common sense

If winner's bracket has no advantage, it sort of defeats the purpose of having a winner's bracket and loser's bracket. There is an advantage. Ask LGD if they want to play against iG in the lower bracket and then na`vi again.

Its about the fact that the entire tournament is double elimination and the only one who doesnt get double elimination is the winners bracket champion. Its kind of a bizarre way to do it, win all your games and get the least advantage. I would prefer if they did it like SC2 where you have 2 best of 3's if you lose the first one the series resets. I think the problem is there is no advantage to being the winners bracket champ aside from having to play less games.

Are you serious? Playing one more bo3 just to get a second life. That's like the most unfair advantage I have ever seen.

Somehow, I just feel it's just not interesting to have one team dominate the scene for so long. Also interesting that Na'Vi probably practiced the least out of all the teams... Apparently, you need something else than practice to be good at Dota.

I'm really pissed off though for people calling XBOCT the worst player on Na'Vi, completely ignoring the good plays he continuously makes, the constant #1 in farm even in the game where Na'Vi got completely destroyed, him making Void work, and so on. And then everyone wets themselves when Dendi presses R and clicks a tide when he's watching for the Ravage for the whole time. it's impressive when dendi steals ravage because if he gets hit by ravage he can't steal it. So it means his positioning in the fights is perfect, because tide is most likely trying to hit dendi + xboct with the ravage. If he hits anyone else it's great but if he hits dendi + xboct he's done his job.
