If Super is playing instead of Yao, LGD crush Liquid 100%. The problem is not Mag, it is the player. Because Super does on mag what Yao doesn't do on any mid hero--direct the flow of the game. This is something the mid hero must do in the current game. Playing defensive/reactive till teamfights the way Yao has done simply does not work with how the game is played right now, which is why I said months ago that LGD should stick to putting Xiao8 mid and Yao in the off-lane. It fits their respective strengths as players much better.

There's a mis-attribution of roles here by LGD because Xiao8 is the one who has far better sense of ganking/gameflow/tempo-carrying ability, while Yao is a stronger laner and has better overall management of his own tempo and farm. So an arrangement like the one they had this game is destined for disaster. I've said this for months, and I changed my LGD fan icon over this shit. I changed it back when they started putting Xiao8 mid again, but when they come to TI3 and pull out this bullshit that clearly didn't work months ago, it's insanely frustrating for me as an LGD fan. LGD. Just fucking put Xiao8 mid. Just do it. Even if he loses his lane, he will set up the rest of the team to win the game because he's excellent at finding opportunities from behind like that. Xiao8 getting FBed is good luck anyway. Even getting Xiao8 solo killed by s4, you guys were the closest team in the tournament to beating Alliance with Xiao8 mid. Precisely. LGD loses because their position 2 and 3 almost always end up less farmed than their opponent's. Xiao8, although having excellent ganking sense, either sacrifices farm for early map presence or loses lane due to reliance on weaker laners. This coupled by their tried and semi-successful 4p1 ensures that [A], and other teams that understand the importance of split farming with multiple cores, will run circles around them again and again. This is ironic because when LGD first started playing DotA2, they ran multiple semicarries (e.g. Slardar, Prophet, QoP).

He wants that bkb first before they fight. Which is smart because he will be prime target of puck and morph.

Like that mofo bm+mg game they did, game would have won if they just let xiao8 bm mid, really not sure they did that, asking for a harder game for themselves.
