Maelstrom procs just fine with entangle, but they can't activate together. Entangle overrides it(if they both wanna activate, entangle takes priority), and entangle is better anyway for fighting and killing a target.
From the Ghastly Eyrie I can see to the ends of the world, and from this vantage point I declare with utter certainty that this one is in the bag!

Does sd's soulcatcher increase pure damage e.g bane's brain sap because soulcatcher's tooltipthing says that the bonus damage is dealt as a seperate instance even though pure damage 'always' does exactly the damage it states.

Isn't Brain Sap a HP adjusting ability and not pure damage (or did they change it in Dota 2)?

So the damage is amplified and the damage type remains the same.

No Soul Catcher always does pure damage. I'd also hesitate on calling it amplification. Consider it making you feel the damage twice, only the second time doesn't hurt as bad ^_^

So my friend convinced me to turn auto attack off.

There's some things I'm enjoying about it, but one of them is definitely not my reduced capacity to last hit. I just feel like it's much more sluggish compared to when auto attack is on. I like the fact that harassment on me doesnt fuck my character pathing up now, but I was missing easy last hits when melee. Pretty sure it's because I kept trying to do it how I did with auto attack on (constantly moving, spamming S when close). Is there a different way I should be last hitting with auto attack off, or do I just need to get used to it?

As much as I'm used to it, I think I'd rather have total control over my hero. It's quite a common occurrence I need to babysit my hero far more because he does shit I did not tell him to do. I've died plenty of times or missed a kill because in the middle of a teamfight my hero walked in a random direction to respond to an attack when I was trying to cast a spell or something. I know it's a minor thing, which is exactly why I'm okay changing it around -- it's a minor thing.

With my 120 right clicks per second my hero never does such things, so I have it on like I had in WC3 for 5 years. It's really a very personal thing

Recently on my exort Invoker, I've taken to skilling invoke at level 4 instead of 2 so that I can get an extra early point into quas and another into exort. The rational is that I am not going to be using sunstrike that often, and the extra regen and damage will help me dominate my lane. Is this bad habit, or is there something I'm not looking at?

I could see waiting for level 3 if you opened E to get Q faster if you're taking a lot of harass, and then you have a few viable spells to invoke at level 3 once you have both E and Q, but I don't see that you gain more even in lane control by having it at 4. At level 3 you can cold snap harass which will do more for you than just having a little more damage in an extra level in E. Additionally, if the other team is paying attention to you, they might be able to be more aggressive elsewhere in the other lanes early on with no fear of a sunstrike punishing them.

I wanted to download a Replay for a Private lobby game but it goes for 3-4% then comes back to 0 again...Is anyone else also having this problem?

That is the solution to the replay error that was in the patch notes. Previously it'd terminate the replay download and leave you with a corrupt partial. Now it actually deletes the corrupt partial and tries again. I've never seen it lose that much though. When I'm downloading GLeague replays it just goes down by one or two percent a lot, but it always finishes eventually.

Have they recently changed bane's casting animations?

It had been about a month since I had played him. Had a good game, but he felt slow. Just had another game, though, and it was against better players. Holy fuck it was ridiculous, I could not get a spell off for the life of me. It felt like if there was any trees present, my animation wouldn't go through. No matter what I did, nothing would go off as no matter what I did shit would just interfere with it. A puck player was even able to dodge a sap based off of the animation (it had already started), it was so slow.

I checked the recent patch updates and couldn't find anything. He was one of my go-to support heroes before, but I really do not remember him being so fucking slow. I just wanna know if it was changed, if I am missing something, or am just plain terribad/rusty, or what.....
I await the reminiscent nerd chills I will get when I hear a Korean broadcaster yell "WEEAAAAVVVVVUUUHHH" while watching Dota

So i got a question who isn't quite about dota, but more of a biproduct of playing dota.
So in dota i use right click a lot on my mouse, and now my mouse will not react sometimes when i right click, because the right button is "stuck" but will eventually get up.
Do any of you experience the same - and is there a fix you can do, or just get a new mouse?
