simply put, farm speed is important so you can farm other things or do other things quicker

The skeletons are only like 8 gold each. I'm sure in terms of efficiency it's better to just start farming another camp than it is to waste time getting 16 extra gold out of a large camp.
Heaven's Halberd is the most criminally underbought item in Dota. Together we can stop this.

If it doesn't impact my farming speed too much I'll let the summoner spawn them but if I won't be able to farm another camp by the xx:00 mark then I'll skip the skeletons.

Also if I don't have a lot of hp or hp regen I'll probably try to kill the camp faster which means not letting it spawn skelebuddies.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

The skeletons are pretty gold per hp value, it's better to get them if you can depending on the stage of the game. Early game 16 gold is more important than late game where your time is more important. Also depends on what hero you are, if you're SF then you can farm low HP big creep and skeletons in one raze so it doesn't really lose you time or HP to get them.

The problem with thinking about things in terms of gold/hp value, is that you often care more about gold/attack value. Attacks take time, and if you need 2 hits to kill a skeleton, that's 4 more auto attacks sitting in that camp killing skeletons for 16 gold. Even with heroes with aoe, if you want zombies to spawn it usually means autoing down one of the little trolls. Again, you have to use more attacks to clear the camp. Autoing the big troll while using aoe to kill the small trolls so they all die at the same time is generally more efficient.

Smoothly killing the trolls with skeletons before you have right-click damage takes triple raze (2 to kill the small ones, the last one to finish off the big troll + skeletons). If you want to do it with 2 you have to auto down a small creep after 1 raze, then auto down the big troll after the second raze. Without skeletons, you can just raze once, auto down the big troll to where he'll die from one raze, then finish the camp all at once with one raze.

early game, you're rarely clearing your entire jungle every minute. also, your lanes usually have creeps to farm. if you summon skeletons and miss 1 melee creep, it's already not worth it. overall, i think it's rarely worth the time commitment.

Like I said, depends on the hero and the situation. If your lane is not being farmed then you want to take a camp as fast as possible and get back to lane; if you're SF you don't really have any problems with doing this, if you're slark you might.

the post above mine outlines the difference for sf... and since he can flash farm other camps it's not necessarily insignificant, unlike 16 gold per farm rotation

How do you deal with Bounty Hunter early game as a jungler? ("real" junglers like Enigma/Chen/Ench, not shitty pub carry junglers)

I randomed Enigma yesterday and got wrecked by BH, didnt feel there was much I could do.

cant u fight him with ur eidolon/creep army? unless u mean how to deal with him leeching exp and getting the occasional last hit on a creep

It probably didn't help that is was something like my second enigma game ever, but he was offlane and would just come to kill me with Jinada+Shuriken when I was low enough from tanking creeps a bit or Soul Ring usage.

you shouldn't ever actually tank creeps as enigma; you can switch aggro between eidolons

Even the first few camps when Eidolons are level1? They die so fast early even with aggro switching I was afraid of losing them (unless i'm not supposed to start with the hard camp?)

Edit: Yeah ok, after looking around a bit, I probably fucked up my early game micro, got killed and then got snowballed on.

Here's me jungling, not perfectly executed but whatever, don't fall very low on hp.

Dire goes very fast, can hit lvl 6 at 4.20 pretty consistantly.

Obviously going to be slower with a bounty annoying you but your creeps hits really hard so he shouldn't be able to kill you. But he will get xp and some occassional CS. If you buy dusts you can get help from your other support and kill him. Kill him twice with 2 dusts usually make him afraid of going back too.

u shudnt ever have to tank with enigma. to keep ur eidolons alive, first attack the camp with ur hero and aggro them out. then when the neuts are running back to the camp, cast conversion. that way ur eidolons get free hits in. this is especially useful against centaur/hellbear camps as it gives u time to spread ur eidolons out so they dont get clapped.

Chen's obvious and really strong in pubs, and actually quite simple to play. You don't have to do anything fancy to head for his big timings, them being levels 5 6 and 7, and mek/arcanes/greaves. You don't -need- to gank, you just need to push lanes once you hit 5 before heroes with good waveclears get a chance to get levels to stop your push. I find games as Chen are very formulaic, and you can hit timings exactly much moreso than you can with laning heroes. Once you get the basic list of decisions down, it's hard to make outright wrong decisions as Chen.

Enchantress is also good, but more reliant on early momentum imo. If you gank with your creeps early and fail, it's far more impactful than if you fail a gank as Chen, as the timers on your creeps put you more at risk of taking exp from your own jungle, and you won't have the mana or cooldowns to sustain enchant spam early. That said, it's very easy to put pressure on early, and your lategame isn't limited to just blowing your cooldowns and having the right creeps as it is with Chen.
