I'm no tidehunter player, but why would you get a stout on tidehunter when you have kraken shell? Isn't it way more gold-efficient to just start with a ring of protection instead, and then once you have a couple levels in kraken + the RoP physical attacks do basically nothing to you?

Of course RoP doesn't help vs heroes like phoenix and skywrath, so the 12 tango build makes sense against those heroes.

Does Roshan give reliable gold, including the kill bounty?

Also, what does CIS mean, referring to an EU team?

That's some google stuff, commonwealth of independant states and yes reliable gold except last hit.

They have the same priority meaning it just comes down to which of the two spells affected the target first.
Only duel overrides both.

Does fissure block Spirit Breaker, the wall, not the stun?

he will charge past the wall no problem, as do all things with free or flying pathing. However, obviously the stun will stop him.

Charge of darkness gives spirit breaker the ability to go through impassable terrain and units.
So no, fissure wont stop him.

This is a question for all you people who do not normally play support.

In your games do you commonly have no one pick a support, or the one or two who do pick a support just don't do any of the basic support stuff (buying wards and courier, and letting carries last hit)?

I ask this because I almost always play support because a long time ago I got tired of having games where there was no supports. Now, I do enjoy playing support quick a lot, but sometimes it is fun to try and play carry, or offlane or mid. However, nearly every time I try to play one of those other positions we end up with zero supports or or the guy did pick a support won't even buy the courier.

My mmr is around 3300, so that on its own might be the reason for this.

It's a grab bag really. I think the average number of ward/courier/smoke buying supports per team is probably somewhere around 1/game (as an anecdotal guess), but that does mean a lot of games where you have no supports and some where you have the proper 2.

Then again I may be biased upwards because I tend to try and feel out my team and pick support if it's going to go unfilled.

4700 eu here, most of the time supports do their job and buy wards (well not all the time out of stock but there are wards on the map somewhere usually). What happens tho is that after some randoms and lane swaps and some1 who wants to play mid has to play support, they buy the first set and then stop buying for whatever reason. No one except me buys smokes tho :|
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you to their level and then beat you with experience. http://www.dotabuff.com/players/115305822 https://yasp.co/players/115305822

2.8k sea. Well, back when I solo queued a lot or with 1-2 people, people would either call their roles (mid/carry/offlane) OR not communicate at all. I end up playing hard 5 almost every time (I don't really mind, I actually enjoy playing hard support) and keep the wards on cooldown. We try to talk to our teammates in english but I guess due to the fact that I'm in SEA, there exists a language barrier. However, whenever I see another support, I usually ask him to get the courier and I'll get the wards then I won't ever ask him to get any other support item cuz people hate being told what they should do.

Is it just me or was Fy asking to get punished when he first picked sniper when HGT showed that they might Tiny-Wisp? Fy's draft was a bit weird since you almost never pick Sniper during your first/second picks. Sniper can get jumped and bursted down fairly quickly before he can do anything. Yeah sure you can say that ViCi got Enigma to camp the relocate, but no enigma means that slark + centaur will feast on spectre. Add to that the fact that a 4 position silencer got his Refresher Orb 10 minutes earlier than Enigma did, so Tiny and Wisp can jump Sniper all day long.

I haven't seen the game but based one how the picks went and the item timings, it seemed that going first pick sniper was heavily punished. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Super used to playing carry heroes that play aggressively? Sniper was a "misfit" for him imo.

Sorry, this isn't really ingame related but where do I find people to play with? I got 3k hours and played since first year but I still can't figure out how to get team (tried joindota and subreddit and they are not helping). I like the social aspect of dota but when I go soloque I have to mute everyone pretty much immediately. General attitude is to get easy points anyway and not good games.

At this point I've given up on improving in dota because I don't wanna play muted slark etc for 100 games to get back on tracks so any level is fine.

The only time you are forced to mute someone is if they're com-banned. And even if they're spewing toxic garbage 80% of the time, you still need to listen to them the other 20%. This has the added benefit that you can say "Skywrath, would you like to party up for another game?" if you enjoyed playing with someone.

Are you still in school/university? Usually Uni's got a facebook group (or any group listing of any sort like gmail or yahoo). Some of the students in our university created a Trade group for the students, professors, and alumni and my friend posted there, looking for Dota 2 play group. We got a lot of responses and we decided to make a Guild and a Facebook Group. I think we have a guild of 40 members now and we do scrims from time to time whenever we have enough people. Most of the time, people find others to stack with and you know that they're not out there to fuck your game up more or less.

If your uni has one of those fancy sites where enlistment, grades, announcement, etc are managed, I dunno how to do the same for that but you can give it a shot.

If you're working, try asking around the office.

If all of those don't work, try you local computer shop, you might see one or two guys playing Dota and you can ask if they wanna stack.

Actually the easiest way to find people to stack with is being friendly and chill in chat and if your teammates enjoyed playing with you, they'd invite you to stack with them post game. At least you'd know then and there that they're around your skill level.

Yes and school community activities like that sound really alien to me. I'm 110% sure there isn't any thing videogame related from my school.

I don't have local compute shop like that. I know 1 place you could call nerdy or geek but it wouldn't help at all either even if I camped there 24/7 and asked evreyone if they want to go play some dota.

I'm very chill and friendly in chat usually. I try to help teammates with tilts and I have never flamed someone for mistakes in first place. I've had very good experiences in dota with and I've added them on friend list but they are just randoms on friend list that I play with sometimes.

i guesss i just need to get lucky with time.
