After picking up Chalice & Malaysian player xNova, also FY back to the support role, LGD has been in really good form. The International prophecy says China will win this year will it be LGD? Making it to the finals of DAC with Uberlord/TB drafts now in the finals of Epicenter showing versatility being one of the only chinese teams that play Chen. Maybe's ability to play a non-flashy hero such as viper and DK to enable Ame into the late game, while still being able to play storm and his signature QOP/Lesh. FY one of the best Rubick players in the pro scene, helps with LGD's draft to stop and counter initiate team fight heroes in the enemy draft also the change to null field. These strats make LGD more difficult to play against than the other chinese teams, what do you guys think?

Why not just rename LGD-Gaming thread with a new pic?

I think they are already through to TI practically, but if FTM crashes out, i definitely wanna see them win; and among the last 3, they look the strongest to me.

So they are now pretty much destined to win TI8? Chinese with no previous TI winner and showing good form in the part of year that matters (still a few months for TI but we are getting closer).

Anyway, great performance by them, their TI invite is all but secured now it seems.

First major. Congrats. Now with no VP or Liquid in the next 1, they might easily make it 2 majors this season at Changsha.

I am aware, but what I was trying to say is that LGD could be the team to fulfill the prophecy that every even year the TI winner is chinese and with no previous TI winners on the team.

I don’t want to discredit a team as good as LGD, but I hope this doesn’t happen just so everyone can drop their silly superstitions.

This time LGD should start off as top favorites though, and other than VP, Liquid and Mineski, I can't think of other non-CN teams who look like beating them on paper.

LGD has been beating Liquid and VP consistently in the last 2 majors and has a very close record with Mineski as well in the last few months.

However, the even year Chinese streak might still be broken this year if LGD crashes out as all other CN teams other than LGD have looked really mediocre in the last 2 majors. Also the favorite hype might get to them.

there are some really good players on the other chinese teams such as VG lamn, paparazzi, eleven, VGJ ddc solid support, Newbees kind been bad recently i think they were only lucky to make it to last ti finals or could have just been the patch in their favor. But its more than just about star players, its also about the draft and how they work as a team and thats why LGD is a tier above the other chinese teams.
