Has anybody else noticed that this is just TI4 Liquid just with a worse offlaner? The drafts are basically the same, Bulba and Pajkatt are still doing dualroam every game and it either works or fails hard, they're also picking the same heroes for Singsing/qojqva as they would pick for TC/qojqva. I don't really get the comparison to early 2014 Liquid, but yeah getting eliminated by Moscow 5 is a pretty terrible start and I'm really disappointed Bulba won't be at ESL One. Doesn't seem like they have particularly great synergy, coordination, or vision. I wonder if they're stuck in this team with a sponsor/contract yet, or if they're still shopping.
I think the qualifier is double elim, so there's still a shot for TT to make a run from the loser bracket for the final spots.
To me the big question mark regarding this team is how they handle their leadership and how they are able to talk through their issues and improve. Obviously I don't know them personally so this is rather speculative, but my impression is that Sing, Qojqva and EGM are all very non-confrontational and pretty quiet people in a team. This means that Bulba/Pajkatt have to take a massive role in leading the team, because someone has to not only be able to lead ingame but also to raise whatever issues the team has up for discussion and make sure that everyone works to improve. Personality wise I'm not sure if it is an improvement from the TL days where Fluff and TC were also pretty quiet people as far as I know, and the team showed that they had a hard time getting through their problems.

Yeah that's just all speculation but base on game 3 you can see that they were outplayed. After miriana dewarded top and there was a roaming miriana+bane, SingSing razor was quite aggressive and got caught out. The combo was just deadly and to leave to Doom early on by himself against miriana+bane was a bad one too. You always need that 2nd player there to deactivate the sleep so you can dodge the arrow. Without any help, there will be constant kills with the Miriana+bane combo. There were times I thought TT was still in the game but it just spiraled out of a control after awhile. It was just one series, I am sure they'll bounce back in the loser brackets.

Bulba's drafting is so one dimensional and EGM/Pajkatt seem really poor in their new roles. I don't see TT becoming much unless they change a few things.
|
Yea, I wouldn't be worried about TT based on a single game. I was speculating more generally whether their lineup can work as a whole. But given the role changes as well as Bulba's relatively small experience both being a support and leading the team, it will definitely take time to see what this team can really do. For their morale it would definitely be good if they would qualify to some big LANs.

I think TT can become something great if EGM gets better in the offlane. Don't have to worry about Piecat at all really. At least I don't think so.
|
To me it just looked like they didn't take their opponents seriously, and dug themselves a hole they couldn't get out of giving up an entirely too easy game 1.
Here's to hoping they can make a run through the LB.
|
I really hope they get it together. You see so many new teams have a honeymoon period that TT not having one is making me worried for the viability of the team.
I can't watch the games from here. How are they doing v.s. PR?

Won game 1, qojqva carried with Pugna against PR's Tinker

Is there Even a Hero Qojqva cant Play well? Sadly they lost Game 2...

EGM officially out of Alliance. So, with that out of the way, we could have an official pick-up announcement for Team Tinker in the very near future. Unless mouz will still announce smth about Pajkatt, but I doubt it.

Tbh I liked Piecats drafting way more than Bulbas. And todays games... well PR is one of a kind kinda. One day they beat the best, the other they loose vs T3 teams, so yeah.

Team Tinker has been losing more games than I expected. Hopefully, they will improve.

I think that they will do better with Bulba offlane and EGM support. They both have better potential in their old roles.

I think EGM has more potential , but its just potential right now , offlane is a different beast then the rest of the positions , you need experience in it , because everything is more refine in the offlane - how much regen to use/buy , when to back from the lane , when can you go sap some XP , i feel its the most complicated lane in the game in which you get punished the most , but maybe that just me. so , give him some time to get used to it and im sure he will shine

I think they will grow into their newrole just fine ... if you want short term success then yes switch them but if you want a great team let them develop.
I think its really important that people enjoy the role they play.

I think its really important that people enjoy the role they play. Pretty much this. They are going to be fine as they get used to the new roles. Piecat drafting is a nice change, but I think Bulba needs to not get "bored" playing standard support sometimes instead of just roaming. Sometimes the roaming proves to be quite good, and then some games when it doesn't work out they can't seem to bounce back.
Also, qojqva is a freaking beast, dude just seems to get better and better.

TI2 mouz had Sing TI3 mouz had qojqva TI4 mouz had Pajkatt
It makes a lot of sense to pick up TT for mouz, and they're one of the few orgs that has the cash to buyout Sam & Max's contracts.
