My thought is, they still qualify for the next round in Dota Pit. While today was disappointing, they actually put up a decent fight against EG who look absolutely unstoppable. I could not be more excited as a fan, this team has a ton of potential and will shock the world eventually in TI5 (not saying they are going to win, but will not finish below 8th place - my conviction or belief). This team reminds me of Team Liquid last year, except they can tangle with top tier teams (as we saw them almost beat Empire in a Bo3). Team Liquid last year was lucky to take a game, let alone a series, off of a tier 2 team - they then proceeded to win against a lot of good teams in TI4.

I said all that to say, as fans I feel like we should support them through the hard times and good times. Regardless of results in a random tournament, the tournament that matters the most is TI5 (assuming they qualify). In reality this team is still fairly new, they just started playing with eachother three weeks ago. That is not enough time to accurately gauge a team, we have seen teams that played extremely well in the past for a month, everyone figured them out, and then the team looked overwhelmingly average (case-in-point Hellraisers - while they are still a top tier team they are not performing like they did for their first month or so of inception).

Did Team Tinker lose today? Yes, but everyone of them was not playing their absolute best and it showed. When playing their absolute best they can tango with any Tier 1 team, which I could not say about the old TT (bulba, jerax, sing sing, qoqjva, and EGM). They look so much more organized, team fights are not totally disorganized, senseless feeding is not occurring (while feeding is occurring, its tactical or hey someone just got caught out - IT HAPPENS TO EVERY SINGLE PRO TEAM), and lastly, they have stable drafting and leadership (as it seems) in all of their games thus far (minus some experimental drafts but they are much more versatile than the old Tinker).

They've still got a lot of the same issues. Bad item builds from their core players (Black and Qojqva), an offlaner with a limited hero pool which he can excel with, and a lack of counter-drafting and strategies. Plus Qojqva is still terrible at any hero that isn't about free-farming.

Both games against EG showed a lot of their decision making issues. Lack of BKBs in both games, Qojqva being useless on LC, playing a passive farming game against the weakest early game imaginable in G2 that becomes a hellish nightmare once Beastmaster and Morph hit 6.

Also, I'm pretty sure they're guaranteed 2nd last place in their group right now.

That said, they're still almost guaranteed to make quite a few tournaments just because of the gamesmanship they're playing with regions. If Valve actually tolerates it, they probably have a good shot at making it through the NA qualifiers for TI5.

As someone who really disliked the way TT changed players this season, i have to say that I'm impressed by their play. If they all move to NA like they said they will, i think they have a good chance of getting a lot better. Their games against C9 really showed me that this team is not like all others before and that has some potential of being one of the best in the west.

Tho, i agree that they have some issues, I'd say Bulba needs to improve a lot, but i feel offlane is not TTs problem only, a lot of top teams have bad offlaners, they all know to play clock or tide, but when they need to play something unusual its usually disaster (that's why i really like Universe or Zai)

looks like a basement, and they are probably living in a nicer home judging by the cushioning versus just plain insulation. (I say that because I used to work on unfinished basements) (EDIT: Might be totally irrelevant but w.e.)

I am really excited for them, I hope this will help them to get used to playing with eachother in a LAN-like setting. I am glad that they are bootcamping / training much earlier than normal for teams.
