I hope I wont tbh. In germany we have this priority system where we first vaccinate the "old and/or vulnerable(healthcare workers etc)" and slowly ease restrictions. For some weird fucking reason people at my workplace are considered as important enough move up one tier (from lowest to second to lowest!) and can get it now before the normal, young, healthy masses are allowed to. | ||

will be fully vaccinated earlier than if i had taken AZ in early April lol. though i have to admit I wanted the mrna vaccine and that was the decisive point in my decision. | ||

There are reports here of people getting pfizer as 2nd when they were originally vaccinated with Sinovac | ||

Give young people a different 2nd shot. For god knows what reason and whatever grounds they decided on that. e: to be clear, the reason why they do it is clear, but earlier on it was said that mixing up vaccines is not researched at all. | ||

Cause its super difficult to turn these vague % into action or averison. Haven't heard much about AZ vs South African / Brazilian variant in the last weeks. it was said that it's only like 40% effective against the former? | ||

I booked a trip from the US to Amsterdam for July because I heard that the EU was considering a proposal to allow fully vaccinated travellers like me into their countries by the end of June and because there was a ridiculously good sale on them. I call up the Dutch embassy in DC to get my documents in order and they tell me that the EU proposal is just guidance for its members and not official policy and that the Dutch government's official stance is that there isn't enough data on vaccines to make a decision yet. Now I'm hoping that they change that by the end of June since right now, I don't have an essential reason to go | ||
