With the Game Pass, I think some games are permanent and some are temporary. It's not even a bad amount of money to pay to just try out lots of different titles, but I'm a bit unsure if I want to commit to the system, and then have the titles I want to play disappear from the Game Pass, either forcing me to buy it outright, or wait for a Steam sale. Right now some examples include some of the older FF games I never tried, and the Yakuza franchise which would also be kinda nice to try. I still have a good bill of Steam games I want to beat, so it's not like I'm out of things to play for the time being. Just wasn't sure if it would be more practical to try out the Microsoft thing, or to just stick to Steam sales.

Had to use the windows store app but apart from that everything worked out fine.

I mean, they don't have all the games I'd actually play (aka none of the anime trash I like) but a lot of the other titles do show up. well, for a euro a month? Absolutely. For 5? maybe, but for 10? Probably if I had the time and if it had ubisoft games haha. I ususally just binge a new game and rarely touch it again - just don't have the time anymore. I guess that many here can relate to that.

(I play a lot of games on my xbox, not a pc, but I think that doesn't matter here) I really like game pass. I think "using it to download a game that you need to buy later" isn't a huge problem, because it still lets you decide that you *actually* want to buy the game -- a few weeks ago I downloaded Dishonored 2, played a few hours, and decided it wasn't for me. Doing that was free - it woulda sucked to have bought the full game and not liked it. Also, there are a *ton* of great indie games on game pass. Many of them can be finished in like 10 hours or so. It's pretty common for me to grab an indie game off of game pass on friday and beat it basically over a weekend. It's free, it rules. Also, related to the above, it makes me much more likely to try out new games because you're not committing to anything other than "waiting for the game to download." This makes new game discovery easier.
