It's a silly idea for the reason you stated before. It doesn't make any sense for something that happens when you're tracking something.

None of them REMOVE magic immunity either though. (And bat generally needs at least a blink to use his ult). That's what I find overpowered about it. Abyssal is the item meant for that purpose and nyx can already buy one of those for a less over the top difference. The other part, preventing them from activating a magic immune state, er I guess it would be easier to treat it like doom does and mute items/spells. Depending on how you worked the duration I think it would be fine. A different way to execute a strengthening of vendetta dealing with magic immunity could be to say that it applies a debuff to the enemy hit by vendetta that allows nyx to use 0/1/2 (depending on his level) spells/items on them as pure damage that pierces bkb within the next 10 seconds or something. Which makes it more niche of an item and forces nyx to actually open with vendetta and get off a spell (difference between this and original suggestion is that this allows only nyx to pierce the bkb) which becomes harder to do vs good opponents.

It feels lazy and it was really obviously not tested sufficiently with the way it got changed practically every day after it was released. If they wanted to nerf pushing/death balling everything else they did was sufficient for that. Also there were already comeback mechanics in place in the form of killstreak bounties - those weren't hidden information the way the 6.82 changes are. I've yet to hear anyone actually defend the comeback mechanics 100% in their current state. edit - I think if you want BH to have an aghs have it change something not specifically about the ult - like give shuriken bounce global range so you can throw a shuriken at any target and hit every tracked target Those previous mechanics did nothing. Seriously I don't get how people are able to say the games before were interesting at all. Whoever took the first three towers first went on to win the game. The entire game was decided 10 minutes in and the rest of it was just played out for show. God forbid you lost a T2 or two, then at that point the enemy pretty much had to try to throw. There was no punishment for forcing highground. You could literally try 4-5 times before anything of importance happened. There was no late game at all and it didn't matter anyways even if you got there because the item advantages on supports meant that they were about as farmed as the opposing cores would ever get. Sorry, but I prefer the game not be decided on one teamfight 15 minutes in. Making teams have to respect defender's advantage is the way to go, though again a small change to buybacks is certainly in order to make 7v5s less worth it.

it's so silly when people suggest the entire TI4 meta was identical to the TI4 finals series

There was no point in playing out a game that was 5-0 on towers. 4-0 was even absurdly hard. Once you were down by towers you were at the mercy of the other team, and unless they decided not to defend their own towers you couldn't force the issue.

The previous kill streak mechanics did nothing? They had some effect. They didn't do a lot, but that wasn't the point. The point was that it was obvious what was gained/lost instead of this bullshit 10k swing from a single gank without either team knowing. I know the kill streak mechanics were relatively pointless in comparison to current mechanics, I wasn't suggesting that the kill streak mechanics were replacements (they're still in the game). And really, unless you're literally ONLY referring to TI4 finals I have no idea what the rest of your post is about. To me this really has been the worst pub patch since drow/centaur ult change era. Yes, it makes pro games more exciting but I really don't care about that.

The very push-oriented game at TI4 can be attributed to how 6.81b altered how the game played only a month prior to the event (and 6.81 itself only a month before that) Basically Valve please stop patching the game just 1-2 month before the event. We get more refined games when we have an older patch that's relatively figured out (TI2), while a comparatively fresh patch leads to lopsided draft-decided games more often when many teams aren't on the same page (TI3/TI4).

People need to differentiate between the inability of teams to understand and play the game with issues of the game itself

It makes for really campy get-more-ahead farm games, which I find inherently less entertaining as a spectator even if there is a lot of strategy underneath. The TI4 meta had its downsides, but it was also amazing to see kill-per-minute games become the standard in pro dota.

I was going to say that without buyback the game becomes too swingy and dependent on a single mistake at the wrong time, as opposed to the current system where it has to be two mistakes in a row.

Of course the reverse - when there's that one guy who still doesn't care and keeps trying to feed his godlike - is stressful as hell, but the guys who still don't care are probably going to make for shit games no matter what. On the whole I think comeback is a net improvement in pubs and a net loss in pro games.
