I was going to say that without buyback the game becomes too swingy and dependent on a single mistake at the wrong time, as opposed to the current system where it has to be two mistakes in a row. Pretty much this, at least that is what I have been saying. It should be fine tuned and adjusted. I am sure a good number of players would agree with that. But outright removing would in my opinion be detrimental. Most likely shorten the average game-length to less than half hour, maybe even less than 25 minutes. What In would be curious to know though is how buyback influences the varying MMR's. Like a case-study where we could see its influence in 1k-7k mmr. If anything, it would at least be interesting to know.

People need to differentiate between the inability of teams to understand and play the game with issues of the game itself While there is no inherent problem with buyback, if you want to retain the comeback mechanic, something needs to change. The defenders can buyback, hold, and walk away richer than they were. Icefrog added the buyback nerf to punish player for buying back and the comeback mechanic undos it. Really, if split pushing was TI3, aggression was TI4, then its comebacks for TI5. Its the game, change with it or get lost in the tide. We are just talking about this because c9 is really bad at playing dota

The very push-oriented game at TI4 can be attributed to how 6.81b altered how the game played only a month prior to the event (and 6.81 itself only a month before that) Basically Valve please stop patching the game just 1-2 month before the event. We get more refined games when we have an older patch that's relatively figured out (TI2), while a comparatively fresh patch leads to lopsided draft-decided games more often when many teams aren't on the same page (TI3/TI4). did 6.81b really alter the push-oriented strats that much? the only popular picks at ti4 that were buffed in 6.81b were skywrath mage (not really a pushing hero), earthshaker (an anti-push hero), and enigma

prolly right below the girl that plays shauna malwae-tweep on parks and rec also she's ok on house of lies I guess but that's a show that manages to be mediocre despite an incredible cast like how do you not just let ben schwartz do whatever he wants for a few hours and just show that I have watched probably hundreds of hours of late night talk show interviews it's what I used to do when I couldn't sleep hahahaha
