seriously the only hero anything resembling a carry that I cant get it on. it's not like he has a bad animation either.
maybe Im just not meant to play weaver T_T Don't worry. It's not just you. Actually, I can't last hit with anything resembling a carry other than sniper well enough, but end up with 25 cs in 5 minutes whenever I play NS. Maybe should give up on the carries. I want to know how you do it, my lasthitting with sniper is horrible.
Sniper has the fastest projectile speed, best last hitter hero. You have to really concentrate on the first few levels when you don't have headshot and range. Getting damage items early also helps him a lot when your laning is otherwise safe.

Watching Link stream while waiting for Steam to be back up is rather nice.

mith.trust just picked a bloodseeker in The Defense against EG. Don't think this happens too often? edit: LOL and juggernaut. Well they are already eliminated unless a miracle happens, maybe they're just playing around. edit2: and its 19-1 for EG after 9 minutes.

Jugg has crit, and it looks like they're lagging pretty badly. Time to ff.

Installed update, but now the alt-tab hero icons are way too big. They were fine before, but back then the items in the guide still had dota1 icons, so this is still better even tho finding the right hero is a bit harder.

Btw anyone noticing zeus' arc lightning jumps WAY faster? what ?? not even close, zeus atack animation is horrible to lasthit, way worse than lina and linas spells are perfect for flash farming, what are you talking about her stun + nuke killls a creepwave Whaaa??? I'm pretty sure Lina can't nuke a full creep wave with a stun + wave combo until at least lvl 8 or so, depending on game time, of course. And that's assuming you level 1/2/1/2/1/4/2/1 or something like that. Maybe I'm just bad/ it's different in HoN. Not to mention lina can combo nuke maybe twice before regen/stats items, and then she has to reload, while zeus can just about nuke until he gets bottle/regen items, as long as he doesn't level them up too high like a n00b.

I'm a complete competitive n00b...but I hear that some heroes are just completely non-viable competitively, and some surprise me because they seem pretty good when I play against them. What is the problem with Jugg, for example? His stun and ulti can both be pretty devastating in team fights.

Well, Jugg doesn't have a stun (technically the first attack of Omnislash ministuns but that's hardly what you'd call devastating).
MiTH completely threw that game. They were already eliminated and their pings are absolutely horrible.

AHH, I was thinking of the wrong hero.....I was thinking Sven...but Jugg seems even better(in pubs), his ulti can be amazing, his q is a cheap bkb that deals area damage, and his passive is a free (and pretty amazing) crit.

His biggest problem is that he is melee. For melee carries to be effective they either need a team of support, good stuns or very high mobility in order to be where they need to be to do damage that they need to do. That's why a lot of heroes that seem very good on paper and in pubs are not viable in competitive play. a well coordinated team won't let them have any room to do their shenanigans.

Well we're gonna see another juggernaut in Dignitas vs It's Gosu. edit: And when they rehost he suddenly tourned into a beastmaster.

It's also an attack disabler. It does AE magic damage but removes his ability to attack for that duration. He's a semicarry with a built-in self-anticarry.

A fair amount of early stats items, take aim early - dance in and out of vision and the creep line, take potshots at heroes to frustrate them into attacking you or running away from your harass, then use the breathing room and his ludicrously good attack animation (seriously, I think it's better in dota 2 than dota 1) to get the last hits. I also basically always get phase boots asap which helps a lot - his excellent animation combined with inherent squishiness and regular early damage means both that I'm paying more attention when I play him and that he has the capacity to last hit well. I'm always on edge when I play sniper because I glass cannon him most of the time (Phase -> MoM) having decided that if you're being hit as sniper, then you're probably already dead, and rely on having better positioning and game sense than most people I play at the moment.

I know Morphling's not very popular in the metagame right now, but does anyone have any suggestions or tips for him? I really like him and want to get better with him.

Morphling is awesome Interesting guide, but most pro morphs usually get morph, not stats (morph gives you more survivability if used correctly).
