Like, 0 mc 0s cooldown at 16 or something absurd like that. It's not like the hero's broken right now, and there's no way that the buff would make the support too strong. It would just make him a really interesting situational mid, and would allow the hero to do what the backstory implies: stealing spells throughout the entirety of a fight, laying down more and more types of magic as it progresses. Right now, with the support Rubick, most of what happens is him stealing one really fucking good spell and abusing the everloving hell out of it, which is cool but not quite as cool.

Maybe something where the cooldown on Spellsteal is determined by the cooldown of what you steal, with low CDs at 0s scaling up to 20-30s for things like Black Hole, RP or Chaotic Offering. So if you get Ravage, then great; you've got an awesome spell but you've got it for a bit. If you miss and get Anchor Smash, you use Anchor Smash and can immediately or almost immediately get something else. Not as an Agh's upgrade, either.

that seems hilariously dumb and overpowered of an idea. rubick is fine where he is, just doesn't fit all too well into the current meta.
|
0s cd on rubick might actually make him broken.
And i'm not usually one for aghs buffs doing anything at all.
|
that sounds over-complicated even for dota.

If you give 0s on rubick he can steal rp, use rp, steal an enemy spell, then steal rp again and rp's cooldown will be 0, making him a perma-stunner... not what icefrog is looking for.

You can just give him spell memory where all the spells he steals keep their cool downs. The zero second cool down sounds just amusing enough to be ok in my book.

Technically with aghs u could aready chain say bhole + chrono lol although tahts pretty unfeasible

Well, okay there'd be very brief time space but rubick has a 0.1s cast point so the enemies would have .2s assuming rubick is in melee range of the void + enigma.
Like u chrono (level 16 w/aghs = 6s) then with 1s left u steal hole, hole on the end of chrono (4s), and then ur steal is off cd when hole ends so u re-steal chrono and cycle it.
Like i said this isn't feasible but it's more or less possible.

i saw you guys talking about PL and i'm just here to say that heros fucking awful now.

I'm not saying they should remove rubicks aghs, I'm saying they should revert the change where you're unable to use stolen aghs ultimates without having scepter.
the aghs 5s CD on spellsteal (or whatever ridic CD) is already powerful enough of an upgrade to warrant getting the item after blink/force. it wasn't necessary to remove the 'stolen upgraded ultimates' aspect before acquiring the item.

So reddit complained enough and got the sign added as a regular ability for Techies. Now even more mind games to piss everyone in the game off use against your enemies.
Probably for the best, but not really sure why this was an issue in the first place.

because apparently it set a bad precedent aka slippery slope fallacy because people fear hats

Yay: equality. #WeDidItReddit

It's a legitimate concern, after all, you can't even tell anymore which hero is which.

I dunno guys. Honestly that screenshot with the bear and Lycan is pretty misleading. I dunno if I could trust myself to be able to tell those two apart. When I first saw Beastmaster's cosmetic hawk fly around at first I thought it was a flying courier, because I didn't know he had summons cosmetics. The cosmetic pig looks pretty weird too, I don't think you can blame anyone for mistaking it with Lycan's wolf when encountering it for the first time. This obviously will probably happen to you only once and is not a big deal, but it does influence the game, which probably shouldn't happen.
