On the other hand I've found it very satisfying to start with 2 Laser and 2 Missile, tricking someone into overextending and getting a surprise kill when they expect me to have gone March.
Even better is holding the points in your spells (except for 2 Laser at level 3, because that's just good all around) and rapid-skilling when the situation calls for it. It's for that general reason that I rebound my skill point hotkey to somewhere really close to my left hand (G).
But yeah, 2-2-0 is great.
ctrl+ability key skills things too, i noticed most streamers and players dont use that except for ppd
Is that really 500 mmr? I would expect people at 500 mmr to just buy recipes and run around the map not even knowing what creeps are. The players in this game even use the actives of the items they buy. If you told me this was 2k mmr, I would totally believe it.
Slark reconnecting after an hour of being disconnected is pretty hilarious tho.
Idk, even when I first started playing dota 2 I followed the valve builds. Times have changed a bit. Bronze-zero in WC3 would have been a whole different tier because of the interface and things like the secret shop being a legit secret, etc.
Dota 2 makes it pretty easy for players to at least get to lanes and build items etc. Anyone vaguely familiar with an RPG-esque system will realise that some items are activatable and may use them, albeit randomly. They're bad players, but they don't actually have straight-up mental disabilities.
That said, yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if that was 1k-1.5k. It takes a certain amount of experience to even know what SnY/shadowblade etc are and why you would want them, especially since none of the weirder item choices there would be in the Valve guides.
0.5k is, I think, technically worse than someone who's never even played the game before.
As to rating, I have rl friends with 2k solo rating and they are better than that so yeh...
Building items doesn't mean anything you have to realize that what bad people do is play bot games against ez bots, ofc they can build items. Lack of skill is much more obvious in hilariously bad movement/positioning/decision making.
I also suspect that a LOT of very low mmr players play on awful connections/hardware whatever. They just don't care.
I had a friend who played sc2 on a laptop mousepad with shitty satellite internet (anchor point, ak) and played like 42 1v1 never winning a single game.
