Why is it silly? Chuan left Zenith without a 5th when he left for iG. And Loda mentioned in his CLG parting interview that "Im rooting for you guys at TI2, and who knows, maybe I’ll meet you there " So that pretty much meant that he was going to be joining a team.
Really excited for Zenith now.

This. He's moving to Singapore and Zenith needs a 5th. It was to be expected that he'd play with Zenith.

Apparently Tobi said some racist stuff and had to apologize? I hope the pitchforks don't come in droves.

Racist Comment Leads DOTA 2 Commentator To Apologize To Community
Toby "Tobi Wan" Dawson is a professional commentator for esports site JoinDOTA. He covers DOTA and now DOTA 2 matches and tournaments, and is considered to be quite entertaining. Unfortunately, the commentary he was caught making while playing in a live-streamed public match over the weekend is not so much entertaining as it is inexplicably racist.
The comment, as seen in a screenshot, was: "have you heard the expression..lame as a ni**ers baby?"
He later apologized on the JoinDOTA forum, explaining, "it is not ok, that is rage combined with [the other player's] jokes to create a completely inappropriate comment which I am sorry for making."
Interest in DOTA 2 continues to ramp up as the game, published by Valve, runs in beta. Tobi Wan was a commentator at Valve's official tournament, The International, when it debuted at Gamescom last year. This year's tournament will take place at PAX Prime in Seattle at the end of August.
Valve is explicitly trying to encourage civility and good behavior in their multiplayer communities. The best time to make sure that DOTA 2's community grows to be a positive influence on the game is now. While the usual arguments are raging, the community seems to agree that even in the heat and adrenaline of competition, some language is out of bounds.

Someone tell Kotaku that was like a week ago

I don't even get why it's a big deal. The radiant team had been provoking tobi for ages and it was a one-time thing and ontop of that he apologized quickly.

And Loda joining Zenith simply saying that: hey, lets decrease our chance to all go to TI2. And kelly just getting more shit on her...

Why would it decrease their chance, assuming you mean Zenith? They had no confirmed 5th, and him joining Zenith gives them exactly that.

Two days ago I played the most epic game as Anti-Mage. 74 minutes long, 778 creep kills. We were ES Lich Viper Venge AM vs Tinker Furion Tide Skeleton King and QOP. Early game my teammates die a lot but manage to buy enough time for me to get a Manta. We manage to hold them off just as they're about to rax mid lane. At this point, since we have stronger late game our chances of winning start getting better and better. I get a Battle Fury and pretty soon I have a Butterfly as well. Now all we need to do is to push and win. Except...
...Enemy Furion started pushing like a madman. He had lothars, Manta, Mjollnir and Aghanims and was basically a pushing beast. He would push top lane, and then lothars + tp to bottom lane and start pushing bottom lane. We go bottom, and he lothars and tps top again. Whenever we could finally kill him he would simply buy back and start the whole process over again. Due to a failed TP by me, we end up having to trade bottom rax for their mid rax. Later we lose a critical team fight that causes us to lose mid rax and almost our throne. We barely manage to stop the throne from being destroyed.
In the end my 4 teammates have to defend the base while I went and tried to destroy their base. While we were raxing bottom lane the enemy almost destroyed our last set of barracks on top lane. Several times as I was pushing top, my heart almost stopped when I saw furion backdoor into our base and try to snipe our throne or our last Ranged Barracks. Thankfully the backdoor protection regenerated faster than he could deal damage.
We finally manage to get mega creeps at around the ~60 minute mark. But even after that they were able to hold out for over 10 minutes. In the end though our mega creeps were too much for them and we finally managed to take down their throne.
This game may not have been a high level game but it was a fucking blast to play. Games like this are the reason why I play Dota.

ok, maybe people already notice this but i think i should let this be a PSA:
If you want to be good at DotA, PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT TOUCH D3. It ruins EVERYTHING for me.... i swear i tried to left click multiple times in the first game i play today inorder to move my hero around -_-.... Dont buy it if you love dota!
|
Haha that's how it is for me with all RTS. I'll be playing Command and Conquer, come back to DotA and my clickings all over the place.
Also concerning the Tobi thing, people gotta chill.
|
Dunno if I should be saying it but back when Loda took a few weeks break from CLG it was because he went to SG to visit Kelly. While he was there he played a TON of games with hyhy and iceiceice, and played very very well for them.
This has been in the works for months, and from what I heard, Loda basically had Zenith in mind the whole time that Pajkatt was slowly taking control of the hard carry and captain role for the team. The better Pajkatt kept doing, the more Loda was backing towards Zenith.

Tobi can never join EG now ohwell

People gotta chill, but people also gotta not say ni**er jokes.... What he said was not ok, he should've known better. I hope he doesn't ever make a similar comment again. It would be exponentially worse the next time.

I'm just glad that despite the Dota community being full of assholes, we don't start witch hunts over petty things like the Starcraft community is wont to. Or maybe it's because we're all assholes...

We're more used to stuff like this. How many times have you heard the n-word or something as offensive in a Dota game? I couldn't count it, personally.
