This is only the beginning... once the full game is released, expect a lot of this arguing to happen. A whole lot more i should say :/

Arguing/debating item builds and viability is fine. Doing it like a dick isn't.

For drow, I really like this pub build I saw on 2009's channel. Get a 1v1 lane (mid is probably safest, unless you have people willing to play support/roam for you). Go stats-aura CS-focused laning, level frost arrow and a point in silence when you start ganking/fighting. Treads -> yasha -> janggo -> MoM -> crystalys, and the game is usually over at that point.
Superfast item buildup, max MS, max AS, lycanthrope-tier DPS... high risk, high reward, ridiculous fun. Large amounts of skin-of-your-teeth hero micro and pubstar solo-killing.

IIRC the item order was MoM->Janggo->Yasha->BKB->S&Y (going S&Y because it gives more MS than Manta, and so that you can still get a slow effect when you're not using Frost Arrows). After that it really doesn't matter what you get--Buriza, Bfly, etc.
But yes, that build is super fun.

Just go on dota2.com. Seems as if they wanted to link to the newest post which says that there wasn't an update this week.

Site loads for me. If slowly.

Yep, we’ve done it again. There will not be an update today. Now, before you start a petition to get us all fired, let us tell you what is going on. You are probably aware that the number of people with access to Dota 2 is not equal to the size of the Earth’s population (our internal estimate of the number of people who want Dota 2). The primary reason we haven’t allowed everyone access to the game is because we don’t yet have enough server capacity to run all the games it would require. Our server deployment team has spent the last few months flying around the world setting up new server clusters to increase that capacity. The extensive network changes we’ve been working on, to support the new replay system among other things, has resulted in significant changes to our servers. This is why we’ve taken longer than anticipated to get this update out. It’s also the reason why we’ll be needing to take down all Dota 2′s servers for 24 hours, starting Tuesday 14th at 11am PST.On the bright side, our game team has been working as usual, building new heroes and features. So you can expect our next update, which we’re probably going to regret saying will be out next week, to be a packed one. In the meantime, here’s some light reading: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Valve_Time

Man what are their thinking, taking the servers down on Valentine's Day! That a DotA player would have something better to do? pfft

DotA2 was going to be my valentine, but now I don't know what to do

I'm with you there PHIL, I ended all my relationships for dota. It makes me sad to part on valentines day but I guess you can't argue about the ones you love. Sometime things just happen. I know I will be eating a Mirana-shaped cutout of dark dark chocolate and hearing echoes of windrunners giggle in my head.
Ok now this has gotten a little creepy. I'm sorry. At least they will release Lanaya by next thursday. I'm so hopeful.

Loool its just one day guys. Did valve say the update will happen next Thursday or next week? I hope the update will be right after they restart the servers so we can play the new heroes etc

Its ok bro, dont watch any pro dota till valentines day, then you can watch VODs for like 20 hours straight. Add in a gallon of ice cream and that dark chocolate and you have the best valentines day ever.

Not sure if everybody know this already, but blizzard is sueing valve for using the name dota2, blizzard wants the name changed.

I know I'm late to the party - I never liked WC3 Tinker - but finally picked him for a game today and immediately recognized his voice actor as Dr. Kleiner. He makes mention of 'a hazard... suit' and 'a red letter day'.
I love Valve so much.
