I really enjoyed your build. But I only have 10% crit chance with pinpoint barrier. So I died quite alot. How much crit do you have and what do you think is needed/recommended for this build?
*edit* spent about 200k on the AH. Works great now with more armor, dmg and crit (23%). Hell Act2 feels like normal/nightmare now, but great fun with a melee build. Kinda tired of blizzard/slow kiting.

I have a ton of attack speed on my gear and I feel wasteful if I go the bliz/venom hydra build which I actually really liked. Blizzard doesn't as far as I know, but I haven't tested it. Hydra does, but not in the way you would think. All "cooldown spells"(which hydra is considered one since you can only have one) base their damage done on your total dps, not your damage per hit.
So while the hydra won't attack faster if you add attack speed, it will do more damage per hit.

ok smbody explain to me how the current FA works? how come sometime i lost 90% of my HP in 1 hit while have it on? I thought it either <=35% or 100%??? Or these dmg calculation is done before armor/resistance ???

It will absorb a maximum of 100% of your health. So you would have been hit for 190% of your health without FA.

I did manage to beat him without dying, but I sure came close a couple times. So I will definitely want the tele for the diablo fight. Soon as I hit 52 I have a new weapon to equip which will up my damage by 1900 dps. I <3 overkill. 22k hp is beyond overkill unless you are playing HC.

So where's everyone been MFing since patch changes? I've done some act 4 inferno aspect runs and they still work, although I can't kill Mira anymore, have to just do Zoltun/Maghda, but it's a bit slower, and had poor luck with drops. Just curious if anyone else is still doing it and having success.

I didn't even have 22k hp on act 2 hell... at the moment farming act 1 inferno, I have even less, I've gone down to 15k. You want way more focus on dps, this kind of 4:1 ratio of life to dps is completely unviable anyway in inferno, might as well get used to being a glass cannon.

I had 30k+ hp through most of hell and still enough DPS to solo everything comfortably.

The oscilating lightning Ball (forgot Name - its a Primary) Blizzard w/ 20% Chance to freeze.
Allows me to stay at High Range while CCing alot and doing some dmg. idk, frost hydra has a really low attack speed and if you have blizzard, generally venom hydra is way better. Hard to Judge which is better, i thought the synergy with the passive would make sense. Never looked at AS of hydras tbh liek the last fire river hydra thing only attack once, the venom attack fast but its ground AoE based, Lighting is instant attack (no animation) so its best used to kill those wasps if you dont have tracking magic missle, Frost has slow but attack incredibly slow, Arcane is normal but not worthed. Overall i think venom works best with Blizzard bc blizzard basicly hold stuff inplace for venom to deal more dmg.
The frost hydra, i dont even think multiple cold dmg stack. Meaning that they wont slow mobs down anymore if they already under the blizzard slow effect.

I'm currently at 25k hp and 30k dps with only the Glass Cannon passive on (39k dps with my magic weapon on). I already have 4 attack speed pieces (2 x 15% rings, 15% gloves and 12% helm). My weapon is a 1030dps 2hr and I've got +damage mods on my neck. I haven't specifically been looking for any specific stats except for intelligence and some vitality here and there.
Any suggestions on what I should look for next? I've seen streamers rocking 44k + dps days ago (would be even higher now), is that simply because of more int? Should I start stacking physical resistance, or what?
Thanks for any suggestions ~

If that makes sense.

Thanks for any suggestions ~ I'm always a bit weary about attack speed. You have a limited amount of arcane power (unless you have something like regen on crit, etc.) so does it actually give a lot more damage relative to intelligence or crit?

Attack speed was the easiest way I knew to make my dps shoot up (aside from weapon) and it was also quite cheap. Attack speed also means easier kiting.
I had completely forgotten about crit, gonna try and find some with crit then. Do you guys honestly feel that 25k hp is enough without stacking any resistances though? What number would you guys feel comfortable with? :/

What number would you guys feel comfortable with? :/ It makes your dps shoot up but that doesn't mean anything if you're using your energy to do damage, because your dps is limited by your energy regen, not attack speed. If you're using something heavier like Orb it's better to have higher damage on a slower attack speed imo.
The kiting part is true though.

Currently farming rares up to and including Butcher pretty easily solo or tanking in groups with this Critical Mass build, 15k hp, 17k dps. Don't really have trouble with anything unless I don't proc crits. Trying to keep my hp low for Diamond Skin to absorb more but obviously not too low so it doesn't go through Force Armor. Prefer using Venom Magic Weapon over Hydra because my arcane power is always empty in fights so I reserve it for Explosive Blast and get a lot of extra crits from venom dots, and Deep Freeze to help out because my base crit is quite low.
For passives, Arcane Dynamo and Paralysis work really well as you'll be constantly spamming Shock Pulse, so Arcane Dynamo will be up nearly the entire time for extra Explosive Blast damage, and Paralysis just for extra safety incase you get a bad crit rotation and Nova/Diamond is on CD. Maybe not everyone will need this if your crit is high enough, in which case you could take Prodigy for huge arcane power regen and swap out Magic Weapon for Venom Hydra or Glass Cannon if you feel safe from death, or Blur if your Diamond Skin breaks early a lot.

I was wondering if venom magic weapon is better or the lightning one is better (more proc, more crit, more stun). Force weapon is obviously bad here since it push stuff out of your 'cyclone earthquake'

I get oneshot by the big guys who swing their clubs, but you can see the animation coming pretty easily so should be able to dodge it. Or freeze them which resets the attack animation.
Force Weapon would be pretty disastrous, yeah. I still think Venom > Electrify as Electrify caps on 3 targets hit when it procs, whereas Venom puts an individual dot on every target guaranteed and for higher damage.

but the dot doesnt give you crit and extra stun(from the passive skill) and crit means everything in the build

Why can't i get gear that maxes both? If I keep finding gear that gives me better Vit and Int I'm going to keep using it. Heck I'm going to have 5800+ dps next level up. Seriously, I'll play the game how I want because I think going strict stereotypical glass cannon is stupid. That's my opinion, and I am sticking to it.
