bwhaha That was truly epic. I love how SCII progamers in general show so much personality in their interviews.
Is it me or has there been quite a lot of drinking mentioned lately? For some reason it reminds me of Stork's drinking before WCG games. No clue why.
That was super long and you are super gosu for translating it. ThanksCJC! Really appreciate all 5000 words X.x.

Thx for translating. FD is such a baller.
I also disagree with the "he may not be the most handsome". and lol @ the gun thing.....

Wow great interview, thanks for the translation

That was an awesome interview, ty so much for translating!!! FruitDealer is awesome! Loved the pictures haha.. Can't wait to see more of his games in future tournaments!!
|
FruitDealer is what we call a one hit wonder. You wanna know how to play zerg? watch NesTea and Leenock.
|
"I hope everyone spends the holidays safely and drinks responsively (laughs)."
Lol. I know its supposed to be responsibly, but drinking responsively would probably be the exact opposite effect I think

hey fruit i'm an amasing snowboarder + i can teach you snowskate + i love to get drunk because i have a lot of problem to forget just like you. maybe we can be BFF ?

It was the first time being in another country since I visited Southeast Asia, and it was the first time flying out to play games. The city of Anaheim felt rather rural, but it was very thrilling to play games on the stage. I think it was there was 10 times the hype compared to 2010 G-Star All-Stars. It was insane to see so many people wanting to watch SC2. Of course, there were some difficulties since it was in a foreign country, but in the end, it was very fun. Koreans tend to be shy, but foreigners are very expressive and outgoing so their cheering culture was amazing. The atmosphere was very passionate. It made me realize the power of a mere game and wished for a similar atmosphere in Korea too. .. Original interview in Korean (http://www.fomos.kr/board/board.php?mode=read&keyno=113441&db=issue) I have only heard foreigners wish for the atmosphere they have in korea, not the other way around!
Amazing interview and thanks a lot for the translation!

Thanks for the translation!
One of my favorite players- humble yet thoroughly anti-establishment.

not the most handsome, get out of here.
great interview!

Yeah I mean the fact that he the top zerg during beta, dominating every korean but tester basically, and was one of the two zergs to finish in the ro.8 of gsl3 really makes him a one hit wonder

Thanks for the laugh. FD, a GSL champion and has won more SC2 tourneys than anyone since SC2 Beta Phase 1, is a one hit wonder? If that's the case, I shudder to think how NesTea matches up in accolades.
Hell, Leenock hasn't even won anything.

Pretty interesting to get some insight on FruitDealer's life :O.
Also: Transfomos! More than meets the eyes.
|
Thank you for the translation! That was a fun long read.
FD sounds as crazy as his games.

The Dealer of Fruit is already a pretty handsome guy. He becomes Adonis-level when he starts speaking

Thanks for the translation!

TRANSFOMOS - More than meets the eye! good one sir
im kinda interested in the monthly payment for Code S, is it just the guaranteed minimum prize for participating in tournaments or they are actually receiving salary?
|
Nice interview, btw, abusive alcohol consumption in regular intervals (as in, getting drunk every weekend but not drinking in between) is also alcoholism, so he might be somewhat alcoholic. ROFL at gun thing, also, the whole S code payment thing is interesting.

drinking and playing zerg go hand in hand for me... When I'm drunk, I macro better and I harass sharply. But if I'm sober, I just can't play zerg. ) Zerg is my off-race and I've beaten 2500 diamond players in custom games while playing drunk. In comparison, I'm still in platinum with protoss, my main race )
All the best mr. FruitDealer, and good games in the tournaments to come!
