I have to agree with that, I'm very happy for him and the fact that a foreigners got recruited by a korean team, but I was never impressed by his play. We'll see though, good luck Torch.

But I'm seriously doubting this happened without him having to play some Startale members first. No offense, but he doesn't seem to be on the level as the TL and EG guys in Korea.

I think you forgot that IdrA was the "First SC2 foreigner on a Korean team". Nevertheless, this is a great achievement for Torch, I wish him the best of luck.

Hopefully Korea will improve his game a lot (as it has with other foreigners). And, even if he doesn't improve enough to become a major tournament contender, he will at least be in a high profile scene where he can make the contacts and gain the insight he needs to help boost e-sports (which seems to be his overall goal). Congrats to Torch. He is a smart, mature, and level-headed guy who can become a valuable asset to the e-sports community. Also props to ST for picking up a foreigner. The Korean scene still feels really isolated. Though none of the Western tournaments are as high-profile as GSL yet, the player pool in the West feels much more diverse and interesting. If Korea can open up more to global players, it will undoubtedly be good for them and e-sports as a whole. Korea has ALWAYS opened up to global players. Its just that most of the foreigners suck. And if Startale isn't abled to recruit one of the other foreign gsl qualified players, then i guess it's not so fishy (although i thought that any top 200 players in the KR server would be a better recruit than torch, and that little kid in artosis' vid wit fast hands)
