This is totally speculative. Everything about it: I don't think an SC2 team can be like that in the least. There are a lot of factors that are vastly different between estro, an established bw pro team, and startale, a new team in a new game. I'm talking required practice time, attention/respect, solidified norms, etc. Overt scene factors aside, there also will probably not be as painful language/culture/general respect issues with this team. There will also probably be an increasing foreigner support network, which will be important; while I'm sure Ret enjoyed having foreigners around, the newcomers will be a) larger in number, and b) in comparable positions. I think practice schedule and in-house regimens will probably be the most important differences. Wow. I just typed something kinda pointless, but I hope convincing. Enjoy.

If we look at the other people that qualified TL guys had everything setup for them training partners house, idra is in korea for quite a long time. If we sum everything outside of the game torch qualify is huge compared to other foreigners. ST are strong team with July and Rainb0w in it, you can't say torch doesn't have the skill level for it. He is strong player with alot of potential and I'm sure once he start the practice in proper team envoirment we will see great results. Jinro and haypro failed to qualify for GSL 1 and 2. But look how much they improved from the korean ladder and oGs practice. i think he only went to GSL 1 and 3, he didn't participate at GSL 2. and good luck in korea TorcH, always nice to hear from you. i know you're going to gain a lot of expirience in such a great team. btw do they have a english speaking person at ST?

Holy crap. Did NOT see that coming. Dang. I remember when everyone was mocking Torch as the phone gamer. Nice job man. Good luck. I'm excited to see you play. Tch. How's that for taking the leap.

Look, Torch is one of the most well spoken and dedicated gamers around, he has a real passion for progaming and esports which is a pretty epicly a good thing. That said he IS a hihg level player no doubt, and playing with a professional korean team will fix his #1 problem which is keeping up with his mechanics into the mid and late games. Do I think he deserves to be on Startale? I'm not sure, thing is there are probably 75 other north americans I would say deserve to be on the team more than Torch for gameplay reasons. Am I glad for him? Hell yeah. A foreigner on a korean pro team is no small task. This is definitely a unique situation to see, and I'm interested to see how it will go from here.

Grats TorcH ! I enjoyed him commenting when Artosis was playing and felt sad when he didnt manage to qualify for GSL 3. Glad to hear we'll see one more foreigner stay in Korea then.
