First, thank you all for the support it really means a lot. In response to the criticisms, I agree with all of them on some level and will address them specificly as soon as I can.

As for what is actually going on; I don't really know either. Everything is happening very quickly (including other events that I can't talk about publicly yet) and the language barrier makes it difficult for me to even know what the state of everything is.

What I can say is I am living/training in the Startale house for the rest of my stay this trip to Korea and will be returning to KR very soon (December or January). As for whether I am an actual member of Startale or just a practice partner, the only thing I know definitively is that they had me change my ID to http://kr.battle.net/sc2/ko/profile/1971260/1/스타테일토치/ (StartaleTorcH in Hangul).

congrats, but you say "you don't know what's going on" and "it's happening very quickly" so how exactly did you get picked up by them? You must have connections or talked to them in some way to show interest. Just seems weird they would just randomly come to you for no reason and want you to join the team. could you explain how it went down?

If they have chosen to recruit TorcH as a member, it may simply be that he is the best of the players who came to the GSL quals without a paying sponsor. Maybe they don't think its appropriate to 'poach' a player from a sponsored foreign team like TL or EG? He's shown plenty of initiative and commitment.

I don't get it TorcH qualified for GSL1 yea he didn't for 2 and 3 but this doesn't mean he is not good enough... If we look at the other people that qualified TL guys had everything setup for them training partners house, idra is in korea for quite a long time. If we sum everything outside of the game torch qualify is huge compared to other foreigners. ST are strong team with July and Rainb0w in it, you can't say torch doesn't have the skill level for it. He is strong player with alot of potential and I'm sure once he start the practice in proper team envoirment we will see great results. Jinro and haypro failed to qualify for GSL 1 and 2. But look how much they improved from the korean ladder and oGs practice.

No no, it sounds that RO 64 of GSL 1, is like rank between random (GSL2-3) RO 64, and RO 32, not equal to RO 32 of GSL 2 and 3.

And it shoud be only for RO 64 of GSL 1, while other ranks stay same, though it would be better if someone can confirm it.

Holy fuck. Gz dude!

The interview by Artosis during qualifiers really brought home that Torch isn't just some dude who visited Korea during GSL1 quals, but is super passionate about esports and is committed to making the scene global. What a badass.

Does this mean he's staying in Korea? (I didn't read the thread. I'll check up on that now, just wanted to bust out first reactions.)

EDIT: OK, just looked up on the page and got it squared away.
I'm sure that when you move back you'll start improving by leaps and bounds, even just as a practice partner (at first). Ganbatte!

side note: he didn't go to korea for gsl 2 qualifiers, only 1 and 3.
