That should run it, but the GPU is integrated and that might hinder you. I just got into the beta (today, ty TL), and I am testing it on my main (I know its sad) rig and it is running fine (Minus slight hiccups on the first play). The specs for that machine is:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (Single core) 1 gb of DDR ram ATI HD 3450
Anyone with something equal to or greater than this - You can play SC2 at least on low.

I'm having some trouble with SC2, My specs should allow me to play on at least high with no difficulty, however my GPU overheats on the lowest setting after only a few games. After reading this thread I get the feeling I shouldn't be having these issues. I'm wondering if this is a driver issue, and if it is, what driver people who have an 8800gt are using that seems to be working for them, or if it might be anything else?

I think just about all of those Q6600 people jumped onto the i7 920 wagon :o

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think it would be playable on even the lowest settings.

Yeah, it won't run at all on that computer.

If you already have a laptop, don't you think a desktop would be a better investment? Also, it would be better price/performance ratio.

I'm pretty much only building this computer because my current laptop can't handle SC2.

My old laptop is falling apart, so I need a new one anyway. And since I will be playing SC2 i want to make sure it can handle it OK, at least on medium settings.
So do you guys think that this one could handle that? http://a-power.com/product-15124

It'll definitely run it. The graphics card is the weak point on it though. You might be able to push Medium, maybe Medium-High, graphics without any hiccups. I run a Core2 with a GT220M laptop and I do fine on Medium. Ultra is unplayable. I haven't tried High.
