I used to think the same thing about the 5770 but now it is fairly cheap. In 3-4 months the 5670 will be cheaper and more competitive too.

It's a glorified media card with a incline to gaming but not really worth 100 bucks in terms of raw games. Also extreme max far cry 2 at like 20 fps at 1680x1050 isn't bad for $100.

Yeah it's horrible for 100 dollars lol It's launch price the 5770 was the same as a 4890 at launch price now it's just under a 260 and a 4870 which makes it good pricing again. It shouldn't go like 5850 and 5870 and increase after launch cuz the die is fairly small and the process is fairly mature for ATI so building supply shouldn't be too much of an issue.

main stream is blow 80, pretty much things oem will mainly throw at people with prebuild computers face it it preforms just above a GT 240 and a GT 240 comes in at 90 bucks and everyone said it was a shit card for the price it preforms better but it's in raw gaming, a GTS 250 which you can get at 110-120 and a 4770 which you can get at 90-100 and a 4850 which you can get at 100-120 seriously out preform the card on avg. It's a launch price it should go down but just saying don't start mis informing ppl on good deals it be a great deal when it drops like 20 dollars in price else it's more of a nice deal.

70-120 is to me all kinds of lulz land usually were the oem cards are and other crap companies peddle to people usually is where the older best performance cards are and some decent cards are at but it tends to be not quite a cheap media card not quite a gaming card. and ~150 is best target range to make the price/performance raito the best it's where most people would be willing to pay for high end performance, anything over 200 is pretty much bleeding edge.
