Here's what I'm thinking of getting: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T9600 (2.80GHz) 4GB DDR2-SDRAM (DDR2-800, 2GBx2) ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD4650 graphics card with 1GB vRAM From what I've read of Mobility Radeon HD cards, they're not exactly scorchers when it comes to gaming, but it is at least a discrete GPU with a gig of memory. Shouldn't this let me run SC2 decently smoothly, until I can put some money into a desktop? I know I could do better for a "gaming laptop", but I'm mainly looking for something portable that I'll take to work and do mostly non-gaming stuff on. I don't really want to get into the 18" alienware monstrosity type of machine in order to get something with a top of the line GeForce in it. I do however,

Ways to cool off people who are angry that works. 1. Delay, yes counting a little takes away the arousal of the anger 2. Relaxation, taking deep breathes, trying things that make you clam sleeping relaxing again take away from the arousal. 3. Distraction(my fav) just change the subject 4.Incompatibility, doing something incompatible with anger, kissing a lover, petting your pet (That can be a double en-tundra if you want ![]() The main thing that doesn't work. Venting! Venting does not clam anger in fact it fuels it makes it worse and makes people more prone to anger. Anger management by a guy who thinks about bitch slapping anyone who talks back to him, believe me the shit works! Also that which is better AMD or Intel price for performance, that always changes like every year or so with every other year it being obvious difference. Right now AMD isn't fucking up it's Quad cores or dual cores but milking the shit out of a design that works which is alright as long as it works. Price for performance is always iffy, usually when i try to get the most out of it i buy cheap and oc the shit out of it. The expensive stuff i don't oc as higher voltages encourages growths (you know the kind that short out your cpu isn't metal + electricity fun!) and can make a good 20 year chip die out in 3 and usually although i buy and upgrade regularly i keep a bunch of my old rigs in some fashion sort of a bad collection in a bunch of boxes.

I have to replace my just deceased laptop, which means the desktop I'd been thinking about getting for SC2 among other things will have to wait a little longer. I don't really want to get into the 18" alienware monstrosity type of machine in order to get something with a top of the line GeForce in it. I do however, ATI naming scheme makes common sense. It should have been said earlier in the thread too. ATI mobility cards name usually preform just slightly under the name of the desktop equivalent. Something Nvidia doesn't feel like doing but instead doing it off of chip etc. So all you do is look up the Benchmarks in games like Supreme commander, Wold in Conflict, any other recent RTS games? And you should be fine anyways depends on your resolution. You have a great cpu for a laptop which should help. 4650 for Desktop is a bit underpowered by my standards but should do fine on most laptop sizes like 1440x900 ie like settings medium to high. The 1 gig part is bull, the chip used inside of it could never keep up with the memory to fill 1 gig it would barely do well with 512. But either way well just have to see how well the game is made ![]()

Hahha i love it. But it's all good as sc2 lacks a release date have plenty of time to wait for the newer cards to plop out. Anyways the real hype is over the GT300 from nvidia all we hear is that it's a ffs monster like the G92 haha, i can only hope it is as insanely powerful as speculation loves to make things. http://www.brightsideofnews.com/news/2009/4/22/nvidias-gt300-specifications-revealed---its-a-cgpu!.aspx first google link haha GT300 http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=11632&Itemid=1

TBH the 2nd account reply was a mistake, signed into the wrong one haha. If i really wanted to make sure the 2nd account was a secret i would have used a string of proxy's to hide my ass but alas not worth the work to make something a secret. Fuck is a word that should only be offensive in intent. Which i don't think most of the fucks where used in anyway of a malicious intent.

Which didn't make it much of a power innovation but more of a monster in the market how many times has the G92 chip been used to keep Nvidia on top 8800GT was on top recommendation for price performance for good long solid time 9600GSO although not mass produced enough was a very good price 9800GTX+ was also another G92 incarnation Along with the last revision to the power the GTS 250 Although it's long life time isn't it's real testament it's more of price for performance breaking power it had like 3 years ago when it broke out totally one sided the Nvidia vs ATI convo for a good time really ATI had it's best not even touch it with a stick in performance and cost much more. Also the prices in the op pictures are off you can get a GTX260(216) and 4870 1 gig for about 150 now and a GTX275/4890 for 200 in the US at least old prices T_T
