I am new to SC2 and I mainly play Protoss. I was wondering how many bases should you be mining from at once? I understand as the game progresses you should be mining from more but is there a max? a minimum? Is mining from 7 too much or 3 too little? Does it depend on how much of your supply you want to dedicate to workers?

The amount of mining bases depends on the game you're in. It should be even or greater then your opponents mining bases. What you fall behind in mining bases, should be compensated with aggression.

Overall i'd say 3 active bases is enough for protoss.
