It seems too much to ask for people not to use slurs against guildies for e.g. race, gender/sex, disabilities and such. My current guild leadership does not want to make a rule against it after several debates during raids; this is something that i'd consider basic human decency but a lot of people seem to think otherwise. Like.. rule 1, don't be a dick! Still feels exceptionally douchey to be asked to stop and not though, usually in those cases it seems like noone ever speaks up. Sadly there's probably not much overlap between being a mythic prog guild and a socially mature guild. | ||

In a way this is where FF14 can have a pro for them. Due to how they are a vertical gear progression, coming back at anytime is never a terrible investment to get geared up (unless you are legit an expansion behind type of thing). With how a lot of character power is behind essences and stuff right now, you simply are just behind until you grind all of them out, whether its rep/honor/ap/etc. WoWs gearing system is pretty meh. The fact that 425 benthic gear is just bis for raid dps is pretty bad. Makes a good portion of raid gear not feel enjoyable when you get it, and by the time you get it you hate life because you have been grinding hundreds of pearls for it. | ||

You can't even queue for anything but a fresh island with a full group. --- People i'm boosting with keep tripping automatic permabans from handling too much gold, LOL. There's an insane amount of cash flow in boosting (on the scale of a billion gold per week for sure). 3 day appeal response time for automatic punishments right now | ||

I always expected a ton of raid guilds to explode with classic release. So I would think stuff like with Cyro is pretty standard right now. | ||

A somewhat stable playerbase is probably best for guilds, there's a lot of resistance to forming new guilds or disbanding/merging when the amount of available players shifts suddenly so you can end up being unable to join guilds as a player or unable to raid as a guild. Unfortunate that seasons & external releases create swings like that which are large enough to cause a lot of issues. The tuning is a bit screwy in the first half of TEP too - Ashvane M is my second longest combat time fight in all of the raids that i've done (falling behind only Mannoroth); compared to Radiance which i have a wipe count of literally zero on. | ||
