Level for level you go many times faster than you used to and you won't just run into people e.g. around level 30-34 in northern STV, there will be dudes ranging from level 20 to 60. If there wasn't any kind of system to handle that then pvp would break.

One world pvp highlight is max level players camping Burning Crusade zones to 1 shot levelling players.

Unless the leveling player uses warmode, in which case they have the benefit of turning it off. Now for other people who do want to take that risk there is an added benefit of some scaling although it could be improved. The scenario you are describing was a problem since the beginning of the gaming. Suggesting its been a problem for years and year makes it sound like it was initially ok and then "went to the pits" if anything a lot has been done to alleviate that. I just levelled a hunter post patch mostly playing in Warmode, had no issues. I even managed to take out a 71 Moonkin at lvl 62 who didnt seem know where his beast cc button was. It was pretty funny. I had the odd time where a 120 who was doing god knows what in STV going around 1 shotting people. So I just turned it off. No problem.

War mode hasn't helped the problem though, it's exacerbated it because now there's almost no ambient world pvp, narrowing the world pvpers down to ever tighter gank squads. it depends on the server but War Mode hasn't improved things at all. Multiple servers have reached the point where almost no alliance players play with war mode on because they'll get crushed by massive squads of horde gankers.

Except Warmode isnt based on server so I dont know what you are talking about. And the balances have improved in my experience atleast with the recent round of changes with the sharding and I play NA alliance at the moment which is by far (by literally any measure) the runtiest of all the regions. It could ofcourse be improved further but I am quite happy with it as it is. There are valid complaints around the quality of the servers and the latency's etc etc in certain situations like Assaults and such. Sure there are gank squads going around in max level zones. That is not necessarily a bad thing. And I dont know what you are talking about with no ambient world PVP i just gave you an example and this isnt an isolated case. It happens all the time while you are leveling, way more often then getting camped by a max level. Heck sometimes I just deviate from what I am doing to join a an impromptu "death squad" and its really fun (but not for long). And the death squads just keep rolling with people joining and leaving. And death squads rarely happens in leveling zones (I havent run into any). Its mostly occurring around World PVP objectives. (like Assaults) and again the quality of that can be improved for sure, but conceptually there is nothing wrong with it. Again if you want to avoid gank squads turn it off. The game is practically letting you pvp when you want and when you dont want. Something you didnt have a choice with before. Prior to this World PVP was dead. Atleast it exists now for those who know how to enjoy it. I cant relate to this particular complaint at all.

I mean, here's a forum thread that goes into it in more detail from just a week ago, and there's been plenty of others, and videos going into detail from content creators... https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/the-real-problem-with-world-pvp/62508 You really have to just not be paying attention to be unaware of the issues the PvP community's had with world PvP as a result of War Mode.

I mean, here's a forum thread that goes into it in more detail from just a week ago Most of his claims involve pulling numbers out of his ass (like how warmode was created because WoW has 10% of its former subscriber base) and fallacious arguments, that reads more like an angry rant than an analysis of game systems. He's constantly attacking people in his forum history and hasn't even killed normal g'huun or done much pvp, even unranked/world. Shard balance and server performance are enormous and even gamebreaking issues yes. At the same time i'm shocked by the amount of people who are unhappy that war is happening in war mode. Stuff could be handled a lot better but if you want a fair matchup you're in the wrong part of pvp and maybe even the wrong game.

I think he lost all credit in that thread with the 10% retardation he put into that post tbh

It's the game bugs, bugs, bugs. It's the gear progression systems, including azerite. It's the customer support. It's the release schedule, both of games and stuff like Zandalari race. Hell, even the writing for Horde sylvanis "gray morality" and Alliance Kul Tiras probably ranks more in user frustration than warmode.

Nice encounters and Mythic felt like the right kind of challenge. No 600 pulls required like M Argus lol.

We did have to cancel some raids when one of the locks wasn't available. It can be done without 3 locks tbf, we just started that way and were too lazy to adapt for rekills.
