Btw, mythic+ loot cap was raised this reset so there is benefit from clearing past mythic10, more base ilvl from beating 11, 12, 13, 14 and higher ilvl in weekly chest
US guys got caught by surprise, opening weekly cache this reset at higher ilvl from having done mythic 12-14 but EU got some warning time to do higher mythic levels for that. I did a 12 but team not in the mood to tryhard beating timer on lvl 13 tonight
There's a quote from blizzcon but it was otherwise unannounced AFAIK, i didn't hear about it til after it was on live servers

apparently it only caps at 12 though, 11 is 870 loot, 880 weekly chest and 12 is 885 chest (same loot).
Am not sure what's up there, i've seen loot that says Mythic 14 and the loot level text is usually capped at whatever the max level is.
Back at launch week when we couldn't get loot from more than ~mythic 4, doing a mythic 8 would say mythic 4 on the loot. On the live game right now it's capped at mythic10; weekly chest or clearing an 11, 12 will always say mythic 10.
Because of that i think the text saying mythic 14 is indicitive of better reward potential for clearing a 14 over a 12 but not sure if there is actually anything there - it could even be something like increased legendary chance so it's harder to confirm than just looking at the item level

i meant as a result of titanforging edit: oh if its a hard cap of 895 then yeah.
There's no cap on titanforge at +15 or +20 etc* - WF can be +5, +10, +15, +20, +25 etc all the way up to +50 or more, it's just progressively less likely. Not sure of the exact chance but you can think of it roughly like flipping a coin for every +5; you're very likely to get heads once but extremely unlikely to see heads 5-10 times in a row
*Exception for hard cap at whatever ilvl, 895 ATM, where rolls stop

There's actually a blue post:
With the release of the Trial of Valor raid instance, we’re increasing the rewards from Mythic Keystone dungeons, to keep them in line with the increased difficulty (and rewards) from the new raid. We’d like to take a moment to clarify what those changes are and when they’ll be applied.
Beginning this week, with the opening of Trial of Valor, the end-of-run chests for completing a Keystone dungeon at level 11 or higher will now give loot with a base item level of 870, up from the previous base of 865 for completing a level 10.
Additionally, if you are able to clear a Keystone dungeon at difficulty 12 or higher, your Order Hall cache for next week will contain loot with a base item level of 885. Note that this change does not apply to the cache you can open this week, which still has its base item level capped at 880 if you were able to complete a level 10 Keystone dungeon last week.
Of course, keep in mind that these rewards still have a chance to roll Warforged or Titanforged; the item levels listed above are merely the guaranteed minimum you will receive.
Additionally, if you are able to clear a Keystone dungeon at difficulty 12 or higher, your Order Hall cache for next week will contain loot with a base item level of 885. Note that this change does not apply to the cache you can open this week
^This part seems to be wrong? People did get higher ilvl in the chest AFAIK. There's talk of bugs and hotfixes after some people opened but others didn't so this is just getting confusing now.

Reread the quote, base ilvl is 885, you can still WF/TF higher

I did understand that part, i was quoting the part that said that the changes would not apply to this week's chest. It looks like they may have applied it a week earlier than intended
It was more of a "Hey, we updated the loot - hope you did a lvl 12-14 last week before we announced the changes!" which goes against what that blizz post said and seems unintentional
5ilvls anyway, not the end of the world
In similar news it looks like GM's are rerolling legendaries for people that got the recent duplicate legendary bug (getting the same legendary again which is useless and resets the super-important bad luck protection multiplier) which is pretty nice IMO, at first they were just saying tough luck & apologizing for the bug and lost legendary item.
Need a ton of raid boss kills / emissary caches / mythic+ dungeon runs :D
Very vague numbers i'd guess emissary caches and normal+ raid boss kills are in the league of ~1% dropchance for a legendary each (one legendary per ~100 of those) and mythic4+ closer to 0.33% (one legendary per 300)
