I didn't include Mynock and Rekrul just because they are admins, but i can't deny their status played at least a small role (see, you can't ban me for that, Rek ). The other ones are very obvious choices, i hope nobody takes offense from not being included.
honorable mentions for being considered as possible voting options: Smurg, Chibi, Beyonder, Fakesteve, Casper.. and Brood. You simply have to stop somewhere and though this is somewhat subjective, these 7 folks more or less are the top comedians of this site. Let's get it on!
Honorable mention by popular request: CleaR, whoever that is. must've missed something.
cow has been really hot lately with the funniest imo it goes 1) FS/ CoW tie 2)Hot_Bid 3) inc 4) Agu
there are funny people that probably belong before Agu but i cant think of them atm. the rest are a bit outclassed IMO Rek is only funny cause he has power and never thinks twice about bitchslapping people with it

I dunno about unfunniest but I can think of some posters that just suck... It's pretty obvious... But I think I like Clear's old topics and Smurg's SS is BS best.

cow's video was hilarious but nothing ive ever read on the internet made me laugh like hot_bid posing as CleaR.
And that time hotbid bumped a 5 year old thread for no reason and had a page of responses before people realized what was going on. I think thats when saro or meat started puting in "old post" in the, um, old posts.
I think it's more obvious when Hot_Bid makes a funny cuz everyone's attention ends up going to what he just wrote and it's many times become a topic changer.
I went with control because he's greatly underappreciated as a comedian here. He crafts hilarious posts and most of you would weep tears of sorrow if he were gone, whether you'de admit it or not.
All of the nominees are funny though. I don't think MyNock trys to put himself out as a funny guy though. The only posts he makes that are funny are sarcastic, though I guess that counts.

I have no bias against FakeSteve. If I am biased, then against Chibi and Mynock, one of which even made it into the list. Fakesteve just didn't cut it for me. But as i already said in the OP, any such list is subjective to some degree and we will have to live with that. If you are not willing to accept that, make your own list and see if you can do better, i'd not take offense from that.
But that idea with making a poll about funniest nickname was interesting. I'm gonna give it a thought or two.

The funniest posters on TL.net, imo, would have to be Cow, FakeSteve and IntotheWow (who gets less credit than he deserves).
I still don't know why Fakesteve wasn't added to the list...the OP mentions that it's suppose to be the "current" funniest posters but he states in his first post, "just plain fucking vote for the funniest guy on TL.net". Meh I dunno. How the hell does Mynock make the list and not Fakesteve??? (Mynock is an awesome mod, granted, but he shouldn't be in this category ahead of someone like Fakesteve) I remember lauhging my ass off at the most recent Fakesteve vs Inc battle where they got into some dispute in some thread and it ended with a dissing war. LOL, Fakesteve was great there.
Cow to me seems to be the current funniest guy at the moment, and his posts at first didn't come off with the intention of trying to get the most laughs or whatever, even though they are starting to now, but they were always good. It's kinda the same with Fakesteve too. They both seem to try to make funny posts but I can sorta tell that they have that naturally funny side to them too.
Intothewow, as I mentioned earlier, seems to get less credit than he deserves. I think if he wanted to, he could pull off a lot of brilliant posts but he doesn't seem to really try to make his posts as funny like the others. I find that his posts usually have that underlying funnyness (is that even a word?) to them. And if im not mistaken, wasn't Clear Hot_Bid AND Intothewow? Everyone remembers Hot_Bid but forgets Intothewow.
Hot_Bid I find funny, but it's more SIRL funny than LOL funny. Also, I find that way too many people jump on the bandwagon...I'm sure if someone else like rpf made the same jokes as Hot_Bid, you wouldn't see the same outcome of replies. I'm not saying that Hot_Bid isn't funny but I think he's a bit overrated. ****Puts on flame shield**** Although I don't find Hot_Bid to be the funniest, in his favour, I find him to be the best newly added mods with the whole liquiscoop and everything. He's really hardworking and awesome in that respect! We need more mods like him!

i think for each of these guys, the op should edit his post n put some links to funny threads next to them. steves mspaint, cows video, rekruls pro gaming gossip, hotbids ring, etc etc

too much work for a thread nobody cares about and thats gonna die soon. sorry but it wouldn't be worth the effort.
i kinda aggre though that Fakesteve, considering his overall posting history afaik, is funnier than Mynock. Doesn't really play a big role since 95% of the people voted for Hot_Bid and CoW anyway.
And i also agree that IntoTheWow is way underrated, if it weren't for CoW's recent hilariousness he'd get my vote over Hot_Bid even.
And still that doesn't lessen the accomplishments of all the other mentioned posters, every one makes a very funny remark now and then, and we should be glad we have so many witty and smart people here at TL. its just some are "more equal than others" when it comes to being funny, you know?

I voted for wow, but obviously both cow and hot_bid are funny.
Cow seems to make more jokes, whereas wow hits you with the quality over quantity. Meanwhile, hot_bid's posts are great but often his jokes are so long and well developed that the majority of the posters here wouldn't even read them if his name weren't blue and didn't allow them to quote with a 'lol'. That said, there are other posters I like to read who probably don't get noticed in the same way.
In summary, all of the above are GREAT, but I voted for wow =]
