Christian Hackenberg reminds me of a less mobile Jake Locker. They're basically the same size, their collegiate passing stats are almost identical, and they were both inexplicably touted as pro prospects immediately after arriving on campus.

Patriots lot two more starters to IR in Blount and Easely. McCourty has sprained ankle should be back for playoffs.
This fuckin year man...

no its just the fear of the entirety of the NFL fan base shitting on the Pats if they were to lose in the playoffs, even though each of their key players (minus Brady) has been injured this year. everyone has such a high standard of performance for the Pats that if they stumble they are made sure never to forget it, ala 2007.

This fuckin year man... you are in the playoffs, i know as a pats fan you take that stuff for granted but the rest of the world would love that consistency and No.12 behind centre It's not taking for granted having a good team, I watched some of the poor years we had pre '01. It's the fact that this team was on pace for records and a favorite for the superbowl but has been significantly weakened. Imagine a panthers-pats superbowl with a healthy pats team. That's two top 5 D's and different but potent offenses going at it.
And yeah, shutting up the haters for a couple days never hurts.

Almost every other team has had injuries to their key players including QB. I really don't think the Pats have suffered as much as other teams this year. I do however think there have been a ridiculous number of injuries in the league.
|
They rank in the top 5 for players placed on IR (15 before last weeks game) and have lost 2 starting RB's but obviously losing a good QB trumps any other position. Ravens I'd say have been hit the hardest, highest number of players plus the leaders of both the offense and defense...

Colts are rumoured to start clipboard Jesus against Texans - I.e. the game which is going to decide their division. Number of players injured is a pretty bad metric. Which members and timing of injury is much more crucial. And unless you are heavily reliant on your RB (like Vikings) its a position which can be replaced fairly easily.
EDIT: My point isn't that Pats haven't been suffering from the injury bug - they clearly have. My point is that Pats fans really need to quit their victim-complex.

^^Plus, depending on Dalton's thumb, they possibly would never have had an easier path to the Super Bowl. Dead Peyton Manning, lacerated Kidney Luck (with the corpses of Andre Johnson and Frank Gore as his free agent signings!) or Hoyer, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Alex Smith? The Steelers are dangerous, but the Pats only need healthy Gronk and Brady to be at about 80% odds to make the Super Bowl. Without Gronk, however, Brady is not very dangerous because he can't throw deep out routes anymore, so Gronk is his deep threat because the ball gets to travel 10-15 yards less.

Not having a victim complex... just trying to state my disappointment in not seeing that offense continue its run they started during the first 4 games... calm your tits

The winter isn't nearly cold enough for my tits to do any migration, so they are perfectly calm But state away, I'm sorry to have misinterpreted your tone.
