In Boston with defensemen who actually provide puck mobility, a goaltender than actual tend the goal and a center who actually is a real center Erickson is going to have a career year guys. I'd like to see Claude's lines first and you know how he likes to juggle them. Career year under Julien's system would be quite the feat. I'd like to see that. I don't think he'll get more than 73.

But he will still produce, it's just If he plays with berg and marchant he will be up against the others teams Number 1 and D will be the priority. Yeah Claude really juggles the lines. Thats why his top 4 lines have been basically un changed since 2010... Honestly, u just make shit up and hope others don't realize your lying. Starstruck "I'm a big mean internet tough guy, come at me bro, do you even lift? Erikson is not getting 80 points u dumbass he's getting 73, I'm totally not over compensating, really I'm tough and rich! thats why I support Esports so hard but can't afford TL+" totally makes sense, my bad you win Keep grasping at straws man. I'll take a page from your book. ![]() As for the 73. I was going off what Sub said. You know, about Eriksson having a career year. lol The spin doctor is in the house.

But if anything he gets criticized for sticking to them to much. If you actually followed the bruins you would know this. But as usual you are just saying things with conviction with 0 facts to back it up. But u are 2 smrt 4 me, u winnar big boy Oh, so that's what you call it! Yep, you really figured me out. Yep, I don't follow hockey or the Bruins for that matter. Heck, I don't even use facts to back up my comments (which is pretty ironic because I called you out for a hack job comment). Not like the Bruins aren't in the same division as the Leafs or people around these parts don't get enough of comparing the two teams. Nope, Toronto doesn't care about Hockey; I don't watch other teams play because everyone knows Toronto is center of the hockey universe No Sir Ree Bob. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The only thing you pull is my funny bone.

I do not give two shits about some trifling internet feud, and I can't imagine anyone else does. It's really tiring seeing you two bicker all the time. Get a room.

Technically we're still talking about hockey (at least I am and to a lesser extent he is). Fair game man. He wants to argue semantics by all means. I don't get the heat thing because I'm openly mocking him because I adore his clown shoes. If anything I'd call it funny shit & who doesn't like entertainment during the offseason? Heck, look at the headline Hawk used. Who do you think that's related too? Our beloved JimmyRaynor and the Toronto Maple Leafs who apparently have a parade route all planned out via MLSE CEO Tim Leiweke. Go figure! Starting to wonder if this Jim has any relation to the other one too. ho ho ho :p GM, 80 points would be cra cra. While we're at it anyone want to take any wild guesses as to how many D-Brown will put up? Heck let's do it for all of them.

And of course if they win the cup. Which is really Bostons only goal at this point. I'm sure you've heard this before, but I'll repeat it: plus/minus is a terrible statistic. While it can be a general indicator of how a player produces, it can be an incredible misnomer. The league leaders in plus/minus are best predicted by how good their team is. Talk all you want about how their contributions made the team better, but it is largely a meaningless stat. Take a look at the year to year leaders in the category. Look at 2009-2010 for example. The Caps were amazing, and Nick Schultz lead the league with a +50. That means very little other than he played on a very good team with very good players, because Nick Schultz ain't that great. Also, Eric Staal was worst in the league for much of this past year, despite the fact the he was playing okay. Given the choice with all other factors taken out, I'd prefer Loui with 80pts and a 0 +/- than 50 pts. and a +30. Players have much more control over their point totals than they do +/-.

but i am curious why you mentioned +/-. if i were measuring his success as a bruin, it would be him being in the top 3 for scoring, top 3 ice time, eating up a lot of special teams minutes. that is what he is there to do. i wouldnt worry too much about where his point total ends up in career stats, so much as it is near the top for the b's. they play a much more conservative style that doesnt leand itself to high point totals

During his 70 point seasons, Eriksson saw the most icetime with Brad Richards, James Neal, Michael Ryder, Mike Ribeiro, and Jamie Benn. I don't disagree that he will do well in Boston but for the sake of comparison I don't think we can call his linemates during his most successful years 'nobodies'. Anyways, carry on. edit: As an aside, can people please stop referring to players and coaches by their first names? These are not your drinking buddies. Sure, in context, one can surmise who it is being talked about, but that does not make it sound any less pretentious and lame. I know people like to do it because it somehow makes them sound like experts who know what they're talking about but given that very few in this thread can make a claim to those credentials, maybe it should stop.

edit: It is very difficult to say who is an expert and who is not. It's pretty clear many members of the MSM are really bad at understanding the game and often create stories rather than report them. Some GMs and even coaches sometimes appear like dumbasses. I have watched hockey and played roller hockey basically my whole life. It's a great sport. I know rosters like the back of my hand, and I'm well-versed in advanced stats. I also understand the game in fairly nuanced ways, and find myself amazed at deft backhands in zone-breakouts -- not the stuff for the casual fan. For me, I enjoy everything within the play as much as goals and saves. Am I an expert, and do I want people to think I am? Hardly. And if anyone here is proclaiming themselves an expert, I would be very surprised. Maybe the double account who will not be named feels he is an "expert." Otherwise I treat myself and everyone here as educated fans.
