Trump doesn't have mental illnesses.

What you get is a bunch of leftist getting upset that their leftist tactics didn't work on stopping Trump becoming president and their last ditch Russia shtick failed and now Trump is humiliating them.

there's no reason to give any credence to your ability to assess someone's mental health. especially given how bad your bias and blinders are.

There are also no one who has conducted a diagnostic interview with Trump and declaring him mentally ill without one such is not only in bad taste, it is unethical and downright moronic. However, you of all people of course already knew that since it has already been substantiated multiple times throughout this thread.

fortunately people only declare him probably mentally ill, not definitely (sometimes shorthanded ofc). also a big difference between a plausible suspicion, people talking on a forum, and a formal declaration which has actual weight.
and yes, I did already know that, so your interjection here seems unhelpful and pointless. It's not in bad taste to point out that the president likely has a mental illness and that some action taken on that would be appropriate. the problem lies with people hwo deny the possibility completely utterly ignoring the factual evidence. It'd be preferable of course if routine testing was always done on the president.

Stop trying to play the semantics game - it doesn't stop being moronic or unethical to declare him "probably mentally ill" rather than "definitely mentally ill". It merely reflects the level of confidence you have in your own ignorant statements. And while there is definitely degrees of bad, it is idiotic to continue to do something bad because it is less bad than if APA (who on multiple occasions said it was bad) did it.

The "Goldwater rule" as it is called in the US exists not only to protect public figures and the proffesion, but also to protect the genuinely mentally ill. And there are frankly NO reason why the vast majority of mental illness (or somatic illness) in itself should be a disqualifier. I mean, sure if we are talking schizophrenia or someone who experiences psychotic episodes, but outside of that? The issue here is ignorance about mental illness (which is why you shouldn't call people without mental illness mentally ill as it merely propagates said ignorance).

My interjection was an attempt at getting you to stop throwing rock whilst living in a glass house. Clearly it failed.

EDIT: Plansix gets it - props!

The farthest I will go with Trump is that something seems off in the way he speaks when compared interviews from 10 years ago. This is a bit rich from the guy who tried to pin the Congressional shooting on Democrats' extreme rhetoric. How much more blatant can you get than a video of you literally beating up your political opposition?

There is a big, obvious difference between the quality of my argument and yours. Undermining the legitimacy of the president by arguing repeatedly that he is a Russian stooge and that we are about to undergo Watergate II (among other things) is a completely different animal than Trump using a fake wrestling video to humiliate CNN. Seriously, you should be embarrassed.

that wrestling tweet is actually funny. does not encourage violence. showcases that you do indeed have a president who should be a WWF heel rather than president, which is disgraceful on its own, but this particular tweet is just funny, imo.

And it also reminds me of the funniest article I read all weekend.
Appalachian Wrestling's Greatest Villain: 'The Progressive Liberal'

Would donate a significant portion of my personal net worth to watch Trump get hit by The Liberal Agenda..

I am not convinced that is the case. In isolation it might be a funny that he retweeted. But his constant refrain is that the press is the enemy of his administration and the people. The press prevents him from speaking with the people directly, twists his words or reports on fake things.

I never said mental illness should be a disqualifier necessarily. as such, much of your point is moot.
My statements are not at all ignorant, and that you claim so merely makes you ignorant of the topic, and unable to read the discussion chain. You'd have to actually substantiate what's ignorant about them.
I'm not living in a glass house, and am making entirely sound points, so I'm not throwing rocks either.

It's funny to see Trump shit all over the dignity of America and the office he was elected to, but only because I'm in no way emotionally attached to either of them. For any patriotic American it's just another day, another insult.

One of the biggest italian newspaper has the tweet as the headline on their homepage saying that it promotes violence. When that woman published the photo of Trump's severed head, they put it in the 'general' section (something like 10 scrolls down), 2 lines long next to a dog jumping into a swimming pool and the recipe for a perfect type of pasta...

I don't think Trump plays 7d chess when he does something stupid that somehow works out for his advantage, and I don't think he's doing it now either. I agree that this is more evidence of why he is unfit to be president, because he's 8 years old, but I don't see it as him encouraging violence any more than it'd be if Obama posed for a picture together with floyd mayweather or whatever. Which technically would also be encouraging violence (be really good at punching people in the face and you get to meet the president), but it's not a big deal whatsoever. it's like the 400th most outrageous thing trump has said or tweeted or done in the past year, and imo, one of the funniest.

It is absolutely normal in a functional democracy for opposition and the press to criticize ruling politicians, especially when the attacked party is primarily responsible for the turmoil. What is not normal is that an elected president attacks the media with memes he has presumably dug up in some corner of the internet. He is effectively behaving like a child.

C'mon, man. I have never said that Trump shouldn't be criticized. I have been quite clear that there are many fertile grounds on which he can be criticized. However, what I have also made clear is that it is utterly irresponsible and contemptible for the media to attack Trump with nothing more than bullshit and innuendo --- particularly when the bullshit and innuendo is so inflammatory.

The only biases I have is toward the truth.

In the election, you liberals keep saying how Trump is sexist when he clearly said that women let him and say that he is racist when he wants to keep track of illegal immigrants, which would even make the good ones to have better wages.

But no, keep spraying bullshit about how bad Trump is when he only wants what is best for this country, traitors.

They're different in a lot of ways. The obvious one for these purposes is that one directly involves using violence against opponents and one does not.

Trump's post involves literal violence against CNN, and depends on the viewer to understand he doesn't mean it literally. Considering we've had physical violence against reporters in the recent past it doesn't seem far-fetched that some idiot might see the example and not pick up that it's a joke, which is why people normally think politicians shouldn't say stuff that might spur others to violence if misinterpreted.

Now one could imagine you making the argument that politicians shouldn't be responsible for the actions of idiot followers. If some Trump supporter sees that video and takes it as instruction, not a joke, you might argue that's the supporter's fault, not Trump's. but you're already on record criticizing the left for spurring their supporters to violence, despite the fact that the left didn't advocate violence against opponents even in jest (edit: I mean, I'm sure some on the left did but not the ones xDaunt was trying to blame for it).

Your post about the left peddling conspiracies that promote violence was already embarrassingly blatant partisanship, considering I never saw a similar criticism of Trump's birtherism from you, but now that you've apparently got no problem with politicians directly suggesting violence against opposition as long as its in jest it's even sillier.

Like I've said before, I prefer Trump's active trolling of the media to W's constant pushover posture. Fuck CNN. They have thrown away their credibility to sink Trump, so Trump absolutely should rub their failure in their face.

Edit: And LOL at all of the people who think that Trump's tweet encourages violence.

It is absolutely normal in a functional democracy for opposition and the press to criticize ruling politicians, especially when the attacked party is primarily responsible for the turmoil. What is not normal is that an elected president attacks the media with memes he has presumably dug up in some corner of the internet

C'mon, man. I have never said that Trump shouldn't criticized.

I mean I mostly agree with you on this but it's not all bullshit and innuendo, there's just so much of it, that the legitimate stuff easily gets lost.

Seems pretty clear after this tweet Democrats have absolutely no idea how to beat Trump, and are on the way to losing in 18 and again in 2020. Hard to decide who to be more ashamed of sometimes.

The only biases I have is toward the truth.

In the election, you liberals keep saying how Trump is sexist when he clearly said that women let him and say that he is racist when he wants to keep track of illegal immigrants, which would even make the good ones to have better wages.

But no, keep spraying bullshit about how bad Trump is when he only wants what is best for this country, traitors.

calling me a traitor. hehe. you obviously don't support the constitution, or you'd heed the clear definition of treason. dunning-kruger at its finest.
You think your bias is toward the truth, and like many people, you're unable to see that it isn't. we need a better educational system to prevent people like this. more teaching wisdom in school.

Your pseudo intellectual high horse is pathetic. You are just another letist triggered by the President's hilarous meme.

1. I'm not a leftist.

You should be embarrassed by your own slavish devotion to Trump. Just because people you don't like condemn Trump's actions, doesn't make them good. But you always manage to find a way to contort your opponents' condemnations as some kind of justification for your Trump-licking.

Also, no one outside of the Trump cult thinks his retweet humiliated CNN. Everyone that hasn't swallowed the orange cool-aid thinks he diminished the Office of the Presidency by dragging it down to the level 4chan/Redditor memes.

Yes, it was a racist redditor who made the meme.
