This is on point. Rural areas in MA are filled with work class centrist democrats. Most of them are not wild about the pending shown in the senate, per my father. I have no doubt that Washington has a pretty reasonable number of centrists too. And MA rural areas are decidely much more liberal than Washington if we go by the 2016 election results (every district in MA went blue). Our population and cities are spread pretty evenly across the state, but I bet it is much more pronounced in Washington.

In other words, racism's okay so long as you tough it out for a really long time and hope that eventually another racist promotes you for it. Sessions thinks it's okay for the government to sell your house because your second cousin in another state is a drug dealer. He also thinks cancer patients using medical marijuana should go to prison. Is this really the hill you want to die on Danglars? Racism's been an empty threat for years and I'm surprised people like you still cling to it. Racists don't stop being racist because other racists have decided to vote for them. But yeah, you happen to be right that it's an "empty threat" insofar that it doesn't really convince Republicans to not vote for them. That being said, it's really not a badge of honor like you make it out to be. If you want to bring up other topics of criticism for justice department policies, I suggest you start in with something other than second cousins and prison for cancer victims and his remarks on the matter. So calm down the unwarranted trolling if you're actually into more depth than top 10 things to hate about Sessions. I say this without exaggeration: Jeff Sessions is the most evil and dangerous person affiliated with Trump, and that's really saying something. There are no informed people who think Sessions deciding to "review" police departments is going to result in anything but more unarmed people being shot in the back without repercussion. If that's the stakes of your engagement I'll give mine. Jeff Sessions is one of th brightest lights in the Trump administration, and a decent and honest man. I could think of few better to undo the despicable leadership of Holder and Lynch who politicized the department beyond belief. There are few criticisms I've seen leveled at the man that haven't subsisted on lies, twisted half-truths, and the most bitter hyperpartisanship as has persisted in the post-Clinton years. You've welcomed identity politics and benefited from false accusations of racism, so I say you deserve another dozen Trump administrations that push white & working class identity politics and cause chaos in the executive branch. Out of curiousity do you think that cannabis is as bad as Sessions says it is or do you recognize it as the continuation of Nixon's Southern Strategy war on drugs associated with minorities? I'm opposed on the merits not on some grand political strategy. Could you clarify this? Do you support Sessions' attack on state's rights and cannabis users or do you oppose it? If you support it, do you support it because you think he's right (and every study on it is wrong) about the harm? I addressed state rights in a post previously today. I've seen studies on both sides arguing about it's harmful or benign long term effects, brought to me by friends and acquaintances that feel much more strongly, one way or another, about the issue than I do. Since the Justice Department are not legislators, he is duty bound on the CSA & related court cases.

Today in Donald Trump Says Really Dumb Things news...
President Donald Trump blamed former President Barack Obama on Tuesday for "weakness" that he said led to a reprehensible chemical weapons attack by Syria's government, while his secretary of state said Russia and Iran bore moral responsible for the deaths.
In a series of strongly worded statements, Trump's administration sought to convey a forceful response to the attack in Syria's rebel-held northern Idlib. Trump said the attack against innocent people mustn't be "ignored by the civilized world."
"These heinous actions by the Bashar al-Assad regime are a consequence of the past administration's weakness and irresolution," Trump said, in a reference to Obama's failure to strike in 2013 after saying a chemical attack by Assad would cross a U.S. red line.

This coming from a president who is not now proposing to establish a red line, and who wants to keep Assad in power.

One of the few external crises to date that Trump has to take care of. Performing admirably.

And again, it was congress that decided to cut the administration's legs out from under it by voting down military action. But Trump can't blame the people who said no, since he needs them to pass his terrible tax plan.

Oh hey it's the brother of that guy from the DNC 2012 who they tried to paint as the new Obama.

I'm guessing one of those "associates" will probably be Steve Bannon, if the surveillance transcripts of that russian Kalugin guy actually exist (and provide proper evidence). According to K. Olbermann (Link), the accusations are already facts...but I'd take it with a grain of salt, like anything else Olbermann puts out there.

CAIRO (Reuters) - Islamic State said on Tuesday the United States was drowning and "being run by an idiot".
In the first official remarks by the group referring to President Donald Trump since he took office, spokesman Abi al-Hassan al-Muhajer said:
"America you have drowned and there is no savior, and you have become prey for the soldiers of the caliphate in every part of the earth, you are bankrupt and the signs of your demise are evident to every eye."
"... There is no more evidence than the fact that you are being run by an idiot who does not know what Syria or Iraq or Islam is," he said in a recording released on Tuesday on messaging network Telegram.
Trump has made defeating Islamic State a priority of his presidency. Source

I'm surprised they didn't say his hands are small. Probably for the best tho. Could have started a nuclear apocalypse.

I'm sure they'll regret saying that as soon as Trump gets a map and someone to point out where Syria and Iraq are.

Sykes has signaled a bitter attitude towards discrimination claims since she was first appointed to the circuit, and that sort of logic is pretty rote with regards to these suits, only they've typically been in the majority until now. That Easterbrook, Posner, and Wood didn't dissent is HUGE lol.

Puts trump in a really interesting position. This is such a basic notion. Is discrimination for being gay legal or no.

Isn't Gorsuch a natural law guy? He believes a judge's personal morality takes precedence over statutes.

Lol cite what you're talking about and its applicability, I'm lost. He's decided many times to take the writing over his personal views, going so far as to state that you're likely a bad judge if you agree with the results of all the judgements you've written. Originalism & Textualism are his claims to fame.
