Well guess what science doesn't give a sh*t about opinions. (easy example: Just because you don't believe that 1+1=2 won't change the fact that it's true.) Fact: 90% of meteorologists/geologists agree climate is changing and I think we can safely say the other 10% are paid by lobbiests to deny and deflect. Big companies don't want environmental regulations, they're bad for business and profits are all they care about.

At the resolution of all these investigations, I expect no proof of collaboration to hack, but lingering disgust of Manafort at least. This response to Cuban is even better since it's a nice graph: But actually, in this case Cuban is probably a good voice for a fellow boisterous celebrity billionaire so it was actually interesting to see what he has to say. Trump seems like the shittiest secret agent possible. If I wanted to compromise the country for the benefit of Russia it would be much easier to do it by quietly but systematically dismantling everything that Russia doesn't like that the US does.

No one here is saying Trump was a secret agent recruited to claim the US elections. What people are saying, and what Cuban is agreeing with is that Russia saw a chance with Trump and worked to increase the chance of him coming into power. Trump is not the master mind behind this. He is not playing 7d chess. What the investigations are looking into is if the people Trump surrounded himself with were in contact with Russia and if so, if Trump was/should have been aware of that contact. The problem with being the guy at the top is that your responsible for the shit that happens around you.

But when he does it at work and makes doing his job along with other people's jobs harder to do, then I think it's fair to be less than thrilled about it. People have shit to do outside of being Pence's hypothetical cock blocking +1. Sorry to dredge this up as the conversation has moved on, but I was away from the internet for a bit. I don't think you can so easily compartmentalize 'personal' and 'work'. Both influence each other: a workaholic for instance, will negatively impact his or her family life. Workplace affairs are a real thing, particularly in jobs that involve a lot of travelling/ involve being away from the home a lot. I find it difficult to believe that what is keeping women down is the lack of one on one dinners with men. Is that seriously the only method of mentorship? In my profession, all the shop talk happens at the workplace or in a group setting. I would prefer evidence that this is making other people's jobs harder to do, rather than immediately jumping to "he won't do this one thing in this one way with a woman; therefore this is what is preventing women from rising up."

"President Trump’s election appears to be negatively affecting gun sales in the U.S. and the bubble appears to be bursting despite a staunch advocate for gun rights in the White House and Republicans ruling Congress. "President Obama was the best gun salesman the world has ever seen," Karl Sorken, a production manager at Battle Rifle Co. in Houston. Sorken is an Army veteran and self-described liberal who voted for Obama and notes the change for the industry under Trump is a topic of conversation in the shop."

He's an idiot. Good thing he literally has his daughter and step son by his side at all times to keep him even remotely on the rails... There has been zero evidence of their input having any meaning to the man at all. This is another meme that gets tossed around but doesn't have any basis in reality. He's pretty well shit on everyone and everything we were told he wouldn't "because Ivanka will keep daddy from going full retard".

He's doing what more democrats need to do, turn abortion questions into family planning issues. I am seriously impressed by him.

guy from a pro life group asked him about it and Casey talked about how more family planning reduces abortions by reducing the financial burden and giving resources. He talked about the importance of birth control and the like. Then he slammed the proposed Trump budget for cutting those things. Overall I was impressed. He kept on topic. Focused on actual proposals by the executive branch and how they'd affect Pennsylvania. Hit the main issues people like (gerrymandering, dark money, his signature issue of alzheimers etc). Struggled on a few questions. One was explaining why importing drugs from Canada won't cost American Jobs. Other was on Manufacturing and the role on automation on jobs (was a multi part question and he answered the other parts pretty decent). He's not as progressive as Bernie (hesitant to push single payer right now, would rather strengthen current legislation/defend it. Plus he hasn't seen the bill Bernie intends to propose). Loved most of his answers though (especially on abortion). Surprisingly not willing to criticize Mar Lago trips too much other to complain that the money's coming out of an area already hit by cuts. Called Pruitt one of the worst cabinet members of all time. Seems like the kind of guy you'd want as a VP to a more more progressive presidential candidate.

Obviously you can't completely compartmentalize it unless you have something seriously wrong with you. Nor am I saying that he's holding women down. But in the situation where I was a female working in his circles and I had something I needed to bring to his attention personally, I'd have to either find a time when he's dealing with somebody else unimportant enough to butt in or bring somebody with me, which requires me to find somebody sitting around doing nothing, or as equally unimportant as the person I would butt in on. That is added diligence in doing my job because of how he runs his marriage. So, if that's the way he wants to live his life, fine. It really doesn't directly impact my day to day life in any way. However, I could see how it has the potential to impact other people's lives that work in his circles and I can understand how that might be frustrating.
