Right because those undecided voters are all about putting Hillary in jail. Hence why they're still considering voting for her.

Was pretty much a wash, but that favors Clinton. Trump needed something to get the news cycle attention off of "grab her by the pussy" and nothing comes close to that. His attempt to deflect to Bill Clinton was ill-advised beforehand.

most undecided voters are trying to decide which candidate they hate less.

Only Hillary could've whiffed the lay-up that could've put away his shots at the presidency.
And I don't think it's the kind of debate performance more preparation can fix.
In the Tie/minor +Trump of the debate, the moderation was 0.o I keep on lowering my expectations and they keep on beating them.

It's been interesting to see how many people you can describe as #NeverTrump are representing him as having literally no chance to win the election.

At some point, it might be time to realize that it isn't the moderator's fault that these debates are a disaster.
Maybe it's the disaster that they have to try to moderate.
I also found it amusing that, of course, Trump + his supporters started whining about how unfair everything was the moment the debate started.
|
I thought this was the best moderation we've seen in a while. They weren't afraid to shut up either candidate, both got equal talking time, and they asked pointed follow up questions when the politicians tried to dodge questions.

I would say Trump won the battle, slightly, but lost the war. He has a particular... style of debating that is effective. Basically he spouts few stats and then a bunch of falsehoods amidst a bunch of word salad. It's so comprehensively wrong that it's difficult to respond to concisely - it's like having to start from the basics of addition for someone who is pretending to math, then working your way up to how they're wrong in multiple different ways. So stylistically he looks better (much like how Pence looked better, they both lie in a way that is fairly effective in the debate formats), but they leave a ton of materiel on the battlefield which the Clinton campaign turns into solid attack ads.

Assessing what's going on in the debate solely by reading this thread is like trying to parse meaning from a bunch of cacophonous of howler monkeys.

Right after he said she would be in jail if he was President... That's like the most Strong man dictator rhetoric I have ever heard in any debate even by actual dictators..

Yeah which is why it's so disappointing that the moderator team seems so ineffectual (or unwilling) to fact check things in real time.

You think this debate performance will make up for the inevitable drop in the polls he will see as a result of the released tape?
Do you think it will hold up when other clips are released?

I don't know. You're asking me to compare a known, which is this debate performance, with unknowns
We'll just have to wait and see

Yeah the nothing burger speeches they take imaginary dots to connect to something sinister. I've been looking for something seriously unequivocally disparaging in those alot of this weekend and I'm having a very hard time.
If anything alot of the content is pragmatic, sensible and forward thinking like she knows she's talking to smart people.

Isn't it? That's what Trump's role model does to opposition members
