Oddly enough control over family planning, which does include abortion, is one of the key factors linked with bringing people out of poverty. It's that and education. Lack of access to sex education, contraception, abortion etc condemn America's least well off people to a cycle of poverty. And that does disproportionately impact black people. So as easy as it would be to say "That's so obvious it's retarded, no shit abortion laws weren't literally the same as Jim Crow laws and aren't explicitly intended to keep black people down" it's actually more complicated because abortion laws do play a role in keeping black people down. | ||

Are these things being illegal also not taking away autonomy from people? When we think that something is bad, even though it doesn't affect other people, we don't allow it.
