I'd probably answer less likely to vote Trump following the convention but that's not really accurate, 0% is still 0%. The divide in this election is more absolute than it has perhaps ever been. One side is literally calling for the other to be jailed etc. That if nothing else makes me quite suspicious of all forms of prediction sites which try to use "historical trends" to predict elections.

Trump is already suggesting that the upcoming general election might get rigged....

That was a top comment on his AMA on the_donald. His following is pretty much certain electronic voting companies will hand Clinton the election.

Which is silly because Carson already told us that the election won't even happen because Obama will have declared martial law by then. It's been a fun electoral season so far.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign appealed to Capitol Hill for support on Monday as his attacks on the Muslim parents of a decorated U.S. soldier killed in Iraq drew sharp rebukes from fellow party members.
Trump's criticism of Khizr Khan and Ghazala Khan, who took the stage at last week's Democratic convention, sparked a growing wave of concern and dismay from Republican lawmakers responding to the latest Trump outburst to blindside his party colleagues.
Republican Senator John McCain, a former prisoner of war and the most prominent veteran in Congress, along with the commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, joined the chorus of condemnation, reflecting the highly regarded place the military and its veterans hold with many in the United States.
Trump's dispute with the Khans has dominated the White House campaign in recent days and underlined the uneasy alliance between many leading Republicans and the party's freewheeling, unorthodox nominee for the Nov. 8 election.

Would Trump even have standing?

Primaries, because they are handled almost entirely by the political party holding the primary itself, are associated with rigging practically every presidential election cycle. Accusations of rigging in the general, particularly given how electoral votes mediate the connection between a vote and an outcome, are a different beast.
As an aside, issues of standing can (and oftentimes do) go straight up to the Supreme Court anyhow

This Khan thing seems to be going significantly worse for Trump than I expected. The VFW is particularly telling.
Honestly, a simply brilliant play by the democrats baiting him into this. Having a Muslim parent of a dead soldier blast Trump as hard as possible was the perfect bait. If you say something mean enough to Trump with a large enough audience, he will respond no matter what. Having the person doing that be a Muslim made sure it would be slightly offensive. Having that person be a veteran made it so that the comments actually matter, breaking Trump's invincibility. He can say a lot, but not about a dead veteran.

Ugh if it goes to the supreme court in some sort of weird Bush v Gore style thing with a split court, that'd be a true nightmare.

He's getting called out for it but I'm not seeing anything bad happening. As far as I can tell it's bad for him in the same way that "build a wall and make Mexico pay for it" is bad for him.

The idea that Trump supporters are just going to go away, even if he loses the election, seem misguided at best. Our political landscape is going to be a mess for a while regardless of the outcome in November.

The mexico thing is stupid in the same breath that in between these stupid comments when he said Russia would not invade Ukraine was stupid. He has gotten away with being a know nothing idiot for the entire campaign so he will most likely get away with that forever.
However when you attack the family of a soldier like that its something else entirely. They deserve a certain level of respect and people around the country across party lines give them that level of respect so when he goes and spits on that across party lines he looks like to be a blunt a terrible human being and when you near universally look like a terrible human being its hard to get people to vote for you.

Out of curiosity, do you think it SHOULD be bad for a presidential candidate to say stuff like this?
