The Russia thing is awesome. I would take it further and put a bounty on the info, offer $1-million for any information leading to an indictment. (IDK if that's legal, but if it is, he should do it lol) NATO is the United States defending people so they don't have to defend themselves. They should pay for all of it. It's not our borders we're defending. | ||

NATO is the United States defending people so they don't have to defend themselves. They should pay for all of it. It's not our borders we're defending. Funny, considering that the US is the only country to ever invoke the mutual defense clause. | ||

Probably to counteract whatever international alliances the Soviets were building and to create a nice fat buffer zone between Russia and Western Europe. It just isn't very good policy now, in my opinion. Getting involved in European land-wars happened and I'm not going to re-litigate the past and say it was a mistake then, but going forward it would be a mistake to continue. What do I care if Eastern Europe is too weak to protect their own borders? If Putin wants it and he can take it, let him. None of my business. Hell, if he wants Western Europe, none of my business and besides, he'd probably do better than most of the current fools who run things over there. Europe should either start paying for our defense or paying for their own defense. I'm tired of sending American boys to die protecting European socialists. | ||

Which is funny since none of the conflicts in which Americans are dying were initiated by Europe. They were all done by America. You realize that the number of European soldiers dying in American conflicts is infinitely greater right? Not that hard tho since you need a number greater then 0... | ||

I trust the Russian government more than I trust our own. It's sad, but most of Putin's moves make sense to me if I think about it from a Russian point of view. His goals and mine might not align ever, but he just wants what is best for his country. Obama on the other hand, and most of the government, they don't seem to care about our country one way or the other. It seems like they only care about themselves and sometimes as if they actively want our country ruined, or at least weakened. I can't make sense of their motivations, considering their actions. Though I threw out the "they are all just stupid" excuse a long time ago. I assume they aren't stupid, so maybe that's my problem? Anyway, this is a problem for the government to figure out. I'm not obligated to trust them, they are obligated to earn my trust. | ||

When we reneg on all our deals, its only a matter of time before our bases are thrown out of their countries, setting back US presence half a century, plus. Chances of keeping Okinawa, which is already a dubious proposition now? Something like zero based on what Trump had said of Japan. | ||
