I'll be fine voting for whoever wins the dem nomination. plus I'm not particularly enthusiastic about either option. Just a reminder that this is a bad policy to have. The nominees don't have their policy prepared, nor have you had a chance to scrutinize the individuals as well as you will be able to afterwards. Ideally, you'd want to seize the opportunity to gain all this valuable information before making the most informed decision possible. If you then vote democrat (and I know I've voted the same party for more than a decade), you'll do it with a clear conscience.

I have plenty of information about both candidates. i did my homework and what I meant was I neither love nor hate either of them. thats all I was trying to say. I wasn't trying to say that i just vote for the party regardless of what happens

They weren't special. it's more the cruz "i'm a regular guy" facade when he went to princeton, harvard, clerked for the supreme court and is married to a former MD at GS. oh, and they gross over a million a year, most of which they spend (the lifestyle). like it's just a little ridiculous. i look like a complete pleb compared to him.

This victory was probably 95% on the hard work on the Cruz volunteers going out and doing work more than any campaign financing. It's not that strange to attribute it to grassroots.

That's where the hatred by the party elites comes in. Also, I don't interpret grassroots campaign="i'm a regular guy." Minor squabbles I suppose. I mean the people he gets voting for him certainly are grassroots, activist types. Edit: given his resume, I think we all look like plebs in comparison.

Not sure why this: http://www.desmoinesregister.com/pages/interactives/elections-results-primaries-2016/#/#d-ia is more updated than the official site: https://www.idpcaucuses.com/#/state

Because it wasn't disclosed in financial reports and claim it was his own assets that funded him. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/14/us/politics/ted-cruz-wall-street-loan-senate-bid-2012.html?_r=0 He makes a big deal about being a grass roots, tea party darling. Guy took out a million dollar loan from the bank his wife works at. Of course he was pulling down a million a year as a law partner before that, but you know. And again, I don't mind that he is successful. I mind that he is an asshole and wants to put in social polices that would argue against until I coughed up blood. And he says his guidance comes from God, which is really something I am interested in for a president.

Ted + Heidi pulled in at least a million combined per year, and from the relatively low amount of assets they lived that million dollar lifestyle as well.
