I'm beyond happy that your media's rabid desire to give a nickname to absolutely everything has not crossed the border. Our scandals don't have gates, our murderers have names, and our politicians are treated like politicians.

Is Canada not on twitter?

We know your nicknames. We just don't give a nickname to all of our shit.

It must be a cultural thing or something.

Maybe slogan? but it's really just a hashtag primarily

Well, whatever you call it, it's still about turning everything into a massive commercial/media spectacle. Especially things that should not be. Like scandals and criminals.

Or pre-elections.

Are you trying to start #FeelTheBern-gate? Yeah, our media is pretty obnoxious. I hate all the hashtags in legitimate media, I hate that every scandal is a gate or ghazi, and that every minor natural occurrence is some form of Armageddon.

As far as Sanders, I don't really give him much of a chance of getting out of the primaries and even less of a chance in a general election. He's a self-proclaimed socialist. He'll get ripped to shreds if people start paying attention to him. It doesn't matter that almost all candidates in both parties believe in some form of socialism, you can't claim to be a socialist and win in America right now. There's too many people who "fought against socialism" and there's no way they're going to sit by as a "socialist" becomes president. People will gladly vote against their own interests based on biases and stupidity.

Sanders is still below 20% with Clinton well over 50%. If he starts to actually challenge her, Clinton just needs to remind the voters that she has a vagina and she'll get a huge amount of votes as people try to elect the first woman president. That's a hype train that people can get behind. Electing the first socialist? Not so much.

As far as Trump goes, as I've heard, he's nobody's second choice. If Rubio goes out of the race, his supporters will flock to Bush or vice versa. I would guess the same would be true with Walker. Maybe Trump can pick up some Christie or Cruz voters; however, even that's doubtful. If Trump eviscerates your favorite candidate and then your candidate leaves the race, would you jump aboard the Trumptanic? I would doubt it. He's going to make a lot of noise and get a lot of attention, but as the field narrows, he'll hit that iceberg.

Seriously though Sanders just made Trump look like a jackass after the Fire Dept in Phoenix said Bernie easily had 2 maybe 3 times as many people in Phoenix.

He's about to be in Houston, Texas where he's going to have another huge rally. The crowds are diverse and every day we have hundreds of convert posts.

Bernie stumbled a bit at Netroots Nation, but looks like he is going to be alright once he tunes his speech a bit more. Plus I gotta get my ass to work in communities of color to help him out there.

Yes, and those people vote. That's why Sanders will not win. People don't care about history (that some socialists have done things for this country in the past) or reality (that the United States already uses many forms of socialism and has for hundreds of years). They care about hype and image. Being a self-proclaimed socialist is anti-hype and is a terrible identity in American politics. Unless you plan on being able to educate more than 50% of voters (at least in certain key states), the Sanders train will get derailed.

After the 2004 election, I asked a well-educated woman who had graduated from a prestigious university many years before why she voted for GW Bush the second time around. The answer, "He created all these problems, he should be the one to have to fix them."

Good luck with educating people.

Yeah it ain't easy but were making headway, now most people feel silly after they realize he's a "Democratic Socialist" and that there is a difference. Not all, but we're getting there.

Moreover, the more people listen to him the more they like him.

So... How would Trump not get trashed? He is everything Romney was by a factor of 10.

Romney tried to hide his wealth and the far-left progressives ate him alive with the whole 1% thing.

Trump comes along and says "I'M RICH BITCH! AND I DON'T GIVE A FUUUUUK ABOUT SAYING IT!" Everything the far-left did to Romney isn't going to work here because Trump is appealing, rightly so, to the people who are sick and tired of politicians being bought off. Trump might be "crazy" but if it's the sort of "crazy" that makes him telling special interest to eat a dick because he's going to do shit his way, hen I'm not sure how that's a bad thing.

Now I hear John McCain is complaining that he is 'firing up the crazies'. If John McCain's is against Trump then I'm convinced Trump is doing something right.

McCain might have been unfit to run for president, but Trump is unfit and an absolute asshole:
"Mr. Trump said of Mr. McCain, a prisoner of war in Vietnam: “He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”"
In other news, didn't Trump dodge Vietnam? I'm unaware of any time he fought or trained in the military. He should at least show some respect.

The word sacrifice isn't in Trump's vocabulary.

In other news, didn't Trump dodge Vietnam? I'm unaware of any time he fought or trained in the military. He should at least show some respect.

The word sacrifice isn't in Trump's vocabulary.

Trump responded to the backlash over his McCain comments and thrashed Rick Perry is the process.

The sad part is that Trump is right about McCain not taking care of veterans.

Here is an perfect example of McCain's ineptitude

I think it'd be interesting to see what happens if he continues to ruffle Republican feathers. I want him to say "Reagan sucks" next.

The man is the real Teflon Don. I'm going to be surprised if he doesn't have a bigger lead after the debate.

I'm beyond happy that your media's rabid desire to give a nickname to absolutely everything has not crossed the border. Our scandals don't have gates, our murderers have names, and our politicians are treated like politicians.

Bernie would be the first Jewish, and non-Christian, president

Agreed on her being a woman though. She'll win big time with 20 something SJW women who control online media to a disproportionate degree

Is there something SJWs did not ruin or bring under their control yet?

He's right on both counts, but you're still not supposed to say it about someone who got tortured. Plus you're not supposed to say it when it pisses off the same people who actually like your anti-latino stuff.
