I'm kind of worried that he won't be as motivated to play, just because progaming that long can really burn through your spirit.
I think this has been discussed before the signing and he will not lack motivation. I'd love to see how his training with Taeja will go.

Wait a minute. It is not "another" korean. It is a MBCGameHero's Sea. One of the best terrans in period of 2006-2011. A guy who was on TL attack (and even posted on TL forum) way back in a days when proscene and progamers seemed to be from another world. Even if he washed out, this is A class player from KeSPA, he know how things are done.
Wow, like so many people here, I have a huge soft spot in my heart for Sea. Even with his history as one of the few BW pros to really interact with the foreigner scene, it's still unreal imagining him on Team Liquid.

Not another racist imbecile.
This has absolutely nothing to do with racism....It's just that I can't "identify" myself enough with the korean players. They in general are very unrecognizable to westerners, even though he probably is good and all that.

Trade lock is between KeSPA and eSF teams, not foreign teams

I never get that. As a german how can your identify yourself more with an American then a Korean?

I think it's less about countries, and more about the fact that Koreans just seem a little colder and distant because of the language barrier and the relatively higher skill they posses.
Whoa Sea motherfucking Shield! He was incredibly good back in the day, a Power Rank regular, Proleague beast, and best player never to have made it far in an individual league. I remember when he out-multitasked 3 people in team melee when he played on TL Attack! A Korean progamer interacting with Teamliquid and the foreign community was completely unheard of. I'm sure he'll be more entertaining to have on the team than Taeja and Hero, no offense.

You will like Sea quite a bit. He has a real nice personality and is really passionate. I still remember that one game this past hybribad proleague when Jaedong held on a 10 pool all in from Soulkey with 15 hatch, where Sea just stood up intensely watching how his teammate Jaedong will hold.

There is bigger cultural disconnect between Asia and West than it is for America and Europe. I think its pretty standard stuff, isn't it?

You did not ask me but since I am a German, too, I like to reply. I identify with any human who is decent. But I do so as a human, not as a German. "As a German" is a non sequitur.
